Where does knife collecting rank with your other hobbies?

I guess it's a hobby, but it's beat out by playing guitar and shooting, which of course have a collecting aspect as well as being actual activities. I spend time online and in stores looking at both, but also using them, while knives - aside from EDC and occasional household or outdoor use - are much more limited in how I can really use them. Then again, I have far more knives than I do guitars or guns, so I guess the priority level is open to interpretation!

maybe you can guess why knives are my #2 hobby ???
You aim to be the next Michael Phelps? ;)

As for me, I've always loved knives, but I never imagined how deep the world of knife culture was, I'm just really getting into it now. As a serious collectors habit, the only problem I find is that (for me) it's preeeeetty expensive for the knives I want haha. I'd say Knives and tattoos are about on the same level. Eventually I need to get to collecting guns.

For me it's a tie between knives and guitars (especially Stratocasters), and then shooting.

No.1 is firearms and related aspects.
Knives are tied with photography at No.2 I guess

My lifestyle is unique. I've been a competitive bodybuilder for 20 years so that's just part of who I am. Right now knives are among my top 3. Ive always loved knives though

Knifemaking-#1 collecting knives-#2 woodworking-#3 Video games-#4...speaking of which call of duty ghosts dlc #2 just came out so its time to play!

In terms of cost, it's probably at or near the top. As for time commitment, overall it's not especially high.

They just barely rank number 1. Very close behind is firearms and martial arts for a tie. I like lights and other gear as well, but not quite as much.

I also got into wet shaving, much of it because of this site.

Knives and knife making are #1 watches are kind of a like "oh this looks nice" like a semi collection and I don't have damn near as much knowledge of watches as I do to knives so I can't call it a hobby or myself a collector of watches

It's been knives as long as I can remember. I dabble in other stuff, archery, flashlights, cycling, hockey, etc....but knives have always been a part of me. Ice hockey a close second.

I'll say knives are number three for me. Just got into knives from being station in Puerto Rico. Firearms aren't allowed in military housing here. 1,guns. 2,shoes(Air Jordan).3,knives. I'll put watches up there, but can't afford the one's I want.

Knives (including sharpening) ranks pretty high, but behind language studies (Korean) and music and movies/dramas. About the same rank as MMA, maybe.

Right now it's #1 but I become obsessed with other stuff eventually and the obsession gradually declines. Haven't been fondling my guns anymore cause knives have much more everyday more useless and for most part a cheaper obsession/hobby. Plus I got all the guns I need and knives are usually at that certain price point where it keeps you questioning about getting another one and easier to sell if you have to.

Guns, knives, miscellaneous gear, Jujitsu and videogames. No particular order, love em all.
