Where in the world is Shotgunner11?

Congrats Shotgunner! Yeah, work sucks, but I find that I need it to support my nasty food addiction. :)

yeah right:rolleyes: i've been saying that since the beav was born.....i disgusted about it today.

30lb. aint shit to kick if you just get your mind on it. it is alot like survival situations, you either do or ya dont. like quiting smoking, do or ya dont.
the hardest part for people is remaining commited, it is an everyday life style change. i've helped people lose a great deal more weight than thirty lb (like 100pounds in roughly 5 months) so believe me if you want it, you can do it.
if you want any good resorces i can help i have got a ton of great links.
and my training partner is a personal trainer that might be able to give some personlized deiting advice.
i am about to start dieting for my next comp in a bit here. fun times.

I found quitting smoking way easier than losing weight, to be honest.
And I'm somewhat beyond the point, last year I had one bad day, when I saw my husband was gaining and he already is way too much overweight, and I thought: whats the point? I'm so much smaller I can hide behind him already I don't see the point ...

And I was on a good way then, and now I have difficulty getting back on track.

i'm considering hypnosis. i've used it for other things and it worked. so why not give it a shot.

i'm going to get a mount to make my regular bike a stationary bike. it's hot here and the kids make it difficult to get outside to do anything.

If it works for you, do it by all means.

As you mention temperature, make sure you stay hydrated. Very important.

Well, Mr. Gunner, congrats on the full time, steady paying job. As has been said, in this economy, any work is good work.

And Mrs. Gunner, good luck with dropping the pounds - you seem like the type who can accomplish anything once you set your mind to it!:D

^ i am having a little difficulty understanding what you are trying to say in certain parts of your post above.
But as for getting back on track.... i find that days when i am having trouble becoming inspired to remain commited to diet or training; i take a moment and think about my goals, what i want for my future and it may be as little as a hiking trip or a big day that is coming up. I figure out how i can make my self more phisically ready for the specific demands of that hike or climb or day with the kids:D what ever it may be and i use that for motivation.
another thing i have is the original bodyfat reading from a laser density test i got done 3 years ago and followed by two other in seq. of one another, they show a huge drop in body fat and a big gain in muscle mass. It reminds me that although i may not be seeing progress, it is there and still happening.
this sounds out there but i also at times think about how lucky i am to be in a position within life that i have the abilty to obtain as much quality food as i need for my desires as well as the abilty to train when ever i can. Many dont and will never have that option. so i imo see it as a responsibilty to others to make the best of my self, so i can be of benifit to those who are weaker.
one is the whole and the whole comes down to the one.
that is the main reason i stay inspired.
