where in your house, and/or car, do you keep a knife?

I've got a Recon Tanto on the nightstand, a baseball bat in between the mattress and bed, and a VG in the general vicinity. In the basement (where the PC is, where bf.com is..) I've got knives strewn throughout. I don't own enough knives yet to stash them in various places.

Foxtail> you should send that story in to Tactical Knives for their "It happened to me" column. would make a great change from the scaring off drugged out punks and such. I remember a little while back, someone from TK said they really need more submissions for that section.

A friend of mine used to sleep with a naked butcher knife under her pillow when her husband wasn't home. She somehow managed never to cut herself, or her husband when he came home ... he was very cautious, though. That's the first time I've ever heard of anyone sleeping with a naked blade in hand, though. Should we resurrect the old "Are You a Paranoid Lunatic" thread?
I thought I did pretty well in that competition, but I've never slept with a knife naked in my hand -- was that knife sharp??? Even if it wasn't very ... I dunno.

too many toys to list....let's just say that I'd have to be naked and outside of my place/truck to be completely unarmed and out of reach of anything..

i had to work up to it
i initially started with the knife in sheath, fastened securely, i would do that for several days or so, and as long as it remained in hand, i would start with it in sheath, but unfastened, and i did that for a while, and when i felt okay with that, i started sleeping with the sheath off.
anyways, i dont think i could do it anymore, i move around more in my sleep then i used to.
also, i feel it was kinda justified, it was when i was in college, and my roommate had some problem with locking the door, and there was some wierdo going around into peoples rooms starting at them while they slept and such.
