Sounds like a really good strategy if you're trying to hide the true count on your collection from your significant other. Oh...i mean good for saving money!

I am using a friends advice. I have a knife box with 9 knives in it. I cannot put a new knife in the box until one comes out.
It's working... so far.

Its not a Pelican 1170 case is it? Cos that's my magic box with the same magic no. for me too... 9 in the box but additional 1 in the pocket.. Nothing more till one goes off.

Well, I know it's more quantity than super high quality...but here it is. I also have 2 bayonets in my closet.
I think that about covers it...for now

The majority of the knives in the photos are from Kershaw and Zero Tolerance. I have several others from other companies like Spyderco, Benchmade, Buck, Boker, Camaillus, Schrade, Ka-Bar, and Victorinox. I also have two fixed blades from a local maker.

I tend to carry my Leatherman Kick and Victorinox Tinker along with a folder. Lately I have been carrying a Spyderco Manix 2 XL.

I'm pretty partial to flippers.

Really nice collection, looks like a full titanium Gareth Bull Shamwari would fit in perfectly!
