Where (online) do you guys buy knives?

newgraham.com (first choice) and knifecenter.com (second choice), I've always had good service from both and their prices are competitive.

A lot of times if you know what brand and model you want, you can get a better price at a place that doesn't specialize in knives. Lighthound and Ambient Weather come to mind immediately.

The Last Confederate told us about the deal on a Sambar stag Buck 112 at Ambient Weather last year and I jumped on it and a bunch of other Buck knives at a great discount.

As far as knife stores, Bladematrix doesn't get mentioned often. They don't have much in the way of particulars but if you know what you want, just find that model and order it. If you order the wrong knife, that's on you. The pictures don't always match up but you will always get model you order.

And don't forget Budk. You can look at all the goofy stuff there or you can do a search on the exact item you want.

www.gpkives.com Never let me down. Maybe not the largest selection, but they have had most knives I have ever wanted. If you order one or two knives they come in the mail, and very quick....No sorry we missed ya letters on the door!

I'm not saying that the sites everyone has already mentioned aren't primo sites to purchase knives from; just please check out:

www.yourcornerstore.com

This site is the BEST site to buy knives. Very cheap prices (99% of the time its cheaper than Ebay) and they ship really fast too! You owe it to yourself to atleast compare their prices with all the other sites that were posted. I bet they'll be cheaper ;) Let me know if you find a better/cheaper store around 'cause I need to save all the moeny I can...TO BUY ANOTHER KNIFE :D

http://www.agrussell.com Not the cheapest, but the best customer service in the business and he has knives nobody else sells. If I were looking for nice slipjoint or something unique this is the first place I would go.

http://www.knifesupply.com I think they have consistantly the lowest prices I have seen and they have been 100% in my book, but expect to wait a couple of weeks to get your order.

http://www.knifeworks.com I have been dealing with them since they were just a counter business in a Louisiana gas station. Roger has good prices and service has been first-rate.

http://www.knifecenter.com Rarely the lowest price, but always reasonably competitive and Howard probably has the largest selection in the net. You an find models here that nobody else has in stock.

These are the sites I check most frequently. I would have added eBay in the past but since they have changed their policy so you have to use PayPal I try to avoid them like a case of herpes. I used to sell on eBay but I never wanted to give them a double cut of the profit. Now they won't even let you accept money orders or certified checks.

I wish there was an eBay just for knives.

Because of AG Russell's huge support of the military I usually go there first, then 1sks.com.

After that, it's just a search if they don't have it.

New Graham Knives, Grand Prairie Knives, Knife Works, Knife Supply, Knives Ship Free, One Stop Knife Shop

I like Defense Knife and Tool, they are a dealer on this forum and have a HUGE selection. No autos but they have the lowest prices that I've seen. I always go there to compare prices to other stores. They're a good $5-10 lower than most stores.

Moved to GB&U.
Please read the sticky in the General Forums.

A quick plug for knifeworks:

I recently had to return a knife to them via mail - this is of course costly to the business...

But they accepted my return, which was an issue that was no fault of theirs (I wasn't impressed enough with the knife to give it as a gift), promptly refunded the leftover money, and sent me the replacement - while keeping in contact with me via email, and all under 2 weeks.

Huge thumbs up to that...thanks!
