Nice one, Hurley. That's gonna be your new best friend.
Speaking of the dodo knives, there's a 15 for sale on the Exchange.
Nurse just called, and said the xrays show degenerative areas between the discs. She's setting up an appt for me with the doctor. Don't think an Asian chick could walk that off, haha.
Oh... Well... Maybe a... I got nothing. Hope the pain goes away soon.
So I have some unallocated funds, and a lot of vacation time I'll need to use this year plus I just remembered Ethan owes me a beer from the Jessica X thread. Might have to try to make it to blade show this year. Road trip anyone?
So freaking busy. Hoping to go to print with a new climbing guidebook at the end of this month. Editing text and scrambling to get ads. I need a drink.
You're a good man!
Feeling any better?
we have a few new Kansas Breweries -- you going to make it to the spring gathering?
(or sooner -- you, Triggs, and the pups are always welcome here)
Yes, but not good enough to go back to work yet. Hoping Thursday I can go back. I have to lift stuff all the time, and don't want to go back too soon.
I was going to predict a herniated disk or degenerative disc disease...probably lower back, L4, L5, S1 area...which is pretty common for tall guys. I've avoided surgery for nearly 20 years now with some physical therapy and crunches to help keep the stomach muscles at least half way in shape. Some folks have the fragments of discs suctioned out, others have that done and the disks fused. Advice given to me the by the Chief of Neurosurgery at the Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio...wait until you can't stand it any more, then have surgery-otherwise it's like rolling dice and could make it worse. So far I've avoided the knife, and recommend that to anyone else.

No compensation for days missed. That's the bad part.
By the way, when is the spring gathering? Ethan's place is only 6 hours away from me. [emoji3]
