Thanks everyone!

Wow, what a Freekin awesome contest that was...wish I had seen it in time. There was some great work and lots of inspiration. Your saw sheath was sweet Aikiguy!

Thanks man... But now I'm expected to make one for my new knife. Gonna have to step up my sheath game big time.

what happened?

No clue. I've pulled my lower back out a few times several years ago, and once had to use the cane for 3 days, the next for 4 days. I got up out of the chair to give my wife a hug Friday, and instant pain. Went to work this morning, and after my first delivery, I almost couldn't walk. Came home, and sat around for 4 or 5 hours, and it felt better. Went to see the doctor at 2, x-rays, etc. Gave me some prescrip anti-inflammatory, and muscle relaxers. Hurting like hell again tonight, so I broke out the cane.

Really sucks to hear that Warrior. I hope you are able to rest and recover soon. I know what that's like. I keep a cane in my closet because this has happened to me several times. Usually takes me a couple weeks to get back to feeling completely normal but the first couple days are the worst.

One time I stayed on my living room floor for 3 days until my wife convinced me to go to the emergency room. They had to wheel me inside in a wheel chair. They gave me a shot in the butt of something powerful and I limped out all warm and smiley and recovered in bed.

Hope you feel better soon!

Thanks! That would be nice haha. All you need to add is a J10. :D

Hah...now ur talking classics...that's a whole other set...when I got my TJ they had a classic grand wagoneer in the show room...loaded, all power, leather...it was real nice and cherry! Man, there's a ton of glass on that rig...screw a suburban!

Sorry to hear that Dubs...had a few bouts myself. Get better soon.

My first "car" was a 78 Cherokee chief 2 door loved that thing.

So I have some unallocated funds, and a lot of vacation time I'll need to use this year plus I just remembered Ethan owes me a beer from the Jessica X thread. Might have to try to make it to blade show this year. Road trip anyone?

Nice, at one time I was seriously ISO that rig. There was one local that was blue with white trim on a back lot for a while. I inquired (by phone) and no one knew anything about it so I went up there, it was gone...never to be seen again.

As someone who has lived with chronic and debilitating back pain since I was a teen I completely feel for you. Take care of yourself man.

Thanks guys. I just got out of bed. The muscle relaxers sure make ya sleep. Feel better, but it feels like my back could pull out at any time.

Dubz, sounds like you need a cute Asian chick to walk on your back. Just make sure she isn't wearing stilettos at the time.

Hoss, if you have the time, you definitely should try for Blade show... Or the gathering. Both is even better still, but Blade show is definitely "an experience"

Nurse just called, and said the xrays show degenerative areas between the discs. She's setting up an appt for me with the doctor. Don't think an Asian chick could walk that off, haha.

Awesome! Glad you finally got a Machax!
That's pretty nice of you to let your wife hold it for the photo...:D

Is that some yellow snow in the lower left corner of the photo?

I was going to predict a herniated disk or degenerative disc disease...probably lower back, L4, L5, S1 area...which is pretty common for tall guys. I've avoided surgery for nearly 20 years now with some physical therapy and crunches to help keep the stomach muscles at least half way in shape. Some folks have the fragments of discs suctioned out, others have that done and the disks fused. Advice given to me the by the Chief of Neurosurgery at the Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio...wait until you can't stand it any more, then have surgery-otherwise it's like rolling dice and could make it worse. So far I've avoided the knife, and recommend that to anyone else.

Sorry to hear about the back pain Warrior! My wife had chronic back pain, its no fun. Feel better soon!
