Where the snark is the snark?

Happy bday Dawson! Sorry I'm late, as usual...

Bonanza and bullets sounds fun. Careful with that silly string... It's highly flammable!

Been looking on armslist.com at revolvers in Colorado Springs so I'm going to head there today. There is a very high chance of me coming back with one or two somethings.

It doesn't feel bad, and I've heard it helps mitigate felt recoil some, but it feels a lot like a double action. A big part of a single action for me is the feel and the way it naturally points for me. I have a S&W 629 and if I'm going to get a gun that feels like a double action I might as well get another 629.

Pretty much. I'm kinda reconsidering that Vaquero anyway. I know they're pretty desirable and it's a nice gun but in a hard kicker I want the larger grip frame and it felt like it had the smaller one, plus I want the larger adjustable sights on a gun I might carry for defense in the woods. I'm thinking I'm going to hold out for the Super Blackhawk I want and also get something that replicates the original SAA more. A shop in Colorado springs has a Pietta for $360 in .357mag so ammo will be a little easier on the wallet. Would be nice to find a convertible in .357 and 9mm. When I could find .22 ammo I would shoot the crap out of my Heritage Rough Rider. BTW if you want a good .22 revolver for cheap get a Rough Rider. I really like that gun.

This thing on? What, ya'll don't like single action revolvers?

So post some.

Either. Both.

The Rugers I wanted got snatched up but it's a current production model so I'll just order one new. But they're running my background check on a Pietta .357 right now.

I got a Ruger GP100 sitting in the safe right now. Belongs to my F.I.L.

I want to try one of these:

I have a GP100 too. Love the older grips they used to have with the rosewood inserts. Haven't shot a Rhino yet but I fondled one once, felt nice. I would like to get one some day.

*warning* rant incoming!

So I was assigned to do a site survey at Logan airport today. Assignment was very short on specifics, with only the address of "Logan Airport" on my mobile device. Finally found myself a parking space a mile (literally) from where I was supposed to be. Took all the blades and whatnot out of my pockets but due to the sales rep I was meeting saying something like "don't show up empty handed like the last guy" I left my Leatherman Skeletool CX in my pocket, so I'd have screwdrivers and pliers. Got to the office where everyone was meeting - and turned back and walked another mile (literally) to get our security passes, then back to the concourse where the survey was taking place. Surprise! We're going through security - take off your shoes, empty your pockets full blown security. Took out the Skelly and placed it in the tray. Agent picks it out after the x-ray, opens the blade halfway and is looking at me.....I told her I understood that I could not take it past the gate, but could it be held for me to pick up upon our return. Another guy is like "I'll have to check with the supervisor" and ten seconds later - I hadn't even gotten my boots laced back up - "nope"....and into the pocket of some TSA agent it goes. On top of that the parking wasn't even validated and I had to pay for it, for which I shall be reimbursed - in about a month. Pretty much my day's wages. My boss is getting an earful tomorrow. And they're damned well buying me another Leatherman. But seriously, the TSA? I work for a security company, and I had to send a copy of my license in last week so I could get the badge today......it burns my shorts because I have no doubt that Skelly was pocketed.

I've seen and heard so many stories about that kinda crap from TSA. Those guys suck. It's like they hate their job and take it out on those of us who are traveling. Wtf? If you don't like your job, quit. It's that easy.

And I wasn't even travelling....I was there for a job with one of the airport's vendors!

I think that's the worst part of the whole thing. They should have a bin workers/bidders can leave and retrieve tools from at the security check point. Also, if you were to get the job how could you get the tools you need to the job site?
