So, I'm looking to buy a new knife and have settled on the mini-grip.
Two problems:
Can't decide if I want the sturdier tanto blade or the drop-point. My knives get abused. I use them regularly for plenty of things...some of which you'd probably hang me for using a knife to do. Heh.
The other is that I'd prefer to have them with BK1 coating and a plain edge. I'm not at all knowledgeable when it comes to knives. Is it really worth the money to get the coating? Or is it a bit superfluous?
Anyway, that's a bit of a moot point because I'm having a hell of time finding the coating AND plain edge on the same knife for either style of blade.
Does anyone know of a place that I could find this combination? Would paying a bit extra for the coating really matter? And which style of blade would you suggest?
