Like the title says, anybody know of a good place to get these knives?

As with most low end Chinese imports...ebay.

I know of no regular on-line cutlery store that carries them.

Thanks, I usually don't roam ebay but I guess that probably my only option.

I got most of mine from exduct. Straight from China, just takes about three weeks.

Thanks, that's the site I saw too but was unsure if they were good to order from.

has anyone ordered from exduct? are they trustworthy?

I've ordered from them a total of three times. They have been perfect so far in my experience. It does usually take about 3 weeks to get an order, but remember they ship from China. I will probably order from them again in the future because they stock a lot of SRM's that you cannot find on ebay.

I got my 710s from a dealer in China also. Two days after buying them my card number got jacked and someone was trying to buy airline tickets with my credit card in my name and according to my bank it was in China trying to fly to Russia. Whether or not its related to my purchase or not I don't know. I found it odd though that two days after using my card for a purchase in China that someone in China steals my card number. At least my credit card company caught it and blocked the charges stopping it dead in its tracks and suspending my card for use until they could reach me. I ended up getting a new card after that.

WoW!!
That is way to coincidental...Shenzhen Wholesale Portal only accepts PayPal,so it "shouledn't" be a problem there.

STR, that is scary. Was that through a website or through someone on ebay? I think I'll stick to vendors that accept Paypal from now on. I have always paid through paypal when I order from exduct.

It was a dealer on ebay yes but I had the option of using pay pal or using my card and I simply entered my card and bought them figuring six of one half dozen of another. My mistake I guess. Again though, I have no way or really tying the two incidents together other than the strange coincidence that I had just bought items from China and thats all. For all I know face book is the responsible party for all the phishing that goes on there and if not there it could very well be a dealer I've bought from here that has lax security or has been hacked recently. I just found it odd that it was within days of using my card there is all I really should say because for all I know the dealer I bought from is legit and works hard to please.

I mean I got the knives in 15 days so I can't complain and the Sanrenmu 710 is a very impressive little knife. I kid you not guys I cannot find fault with these little gems. Great slicers and each one came Spyderco sharp for me. $35.80 divided by 3 is what I got them for. Figure that out and I tell ya what, I don't see how you can beat that with a stick because quite frankly the fit and finish on these little knives is better than some $800 knives I own and have bought recently from USA companies and I say that quite seriously. I mean when I compare this little knife issue for issue from function to aesthetics I find more fault on many of my USA made knives and I wish it was not the case. There is not one sharp edge, not one missed area, the grinds are crisp, even and the tolerances are actually quite tight. .134 front and rear, .102 lock side .102 non lock side all the way up the slab, a detent ball that works correctly! No blade play, perfect lock contact, fancy stand offs in the rear, and if thats not impressive enough with just one consider that all three are like this, and all three measure out the same in every way. They are all virtually identical knives with minor variance in the actual blade belly only. I carry the one with the bigger belly. Stuck the other one in the safe and gave the other to my best friend.

Lastly, the only fault I found is the tip down carry clip which I promptly fixed ASAP:D

Wow! Great job on the clip, STR!

Yeah, I guess it wouldn't be fair to blame the dealer without knowing that it was them that compromised your credit card info.

I have been carrying a black 710 to work almost every day since February and it has been a great beater. The coating on the blade (titanium oxide from what I have seen advertised) has not messed up at all, the blade takes a shaving edge easily, and holds it at as well as any other 8cr13MoV that I have used. The black coating on the scales is slowly wearing along the edges, giving the knife a nice slightly worn look. I pulled it apart last week to clean/oil and inspect it and I found it had three bronze washers and one nylon washer. The ball detent was a little worn (I play with this knife all the time...), but it still functions correctly. After oiling and reassembling the 710, I can flick it open with the thumbstud and without the need for wrist movement. Overall, I have been very pleased with this knife and most of the other SRM's that I have purchased.
