I am just falling in love with this design and cant find a place to buy one...

koster makes one but for some reason I am just no feeling that one

i could go searching but even if i find one i will not know if its any good.

can someone direct me to a place or person that can make one of these?
I dont really want to get a custom one, because, they take longer and coast more but if thats what i got to do, then ill do it.

PICS ARE ALWAYS AWSOME!!! :D:)

Areil (sp) from Argentina makes a nice one in San Mai Damascus that has to be seen to be believed!! he's on the knifemaker forum here, look around there. Busse is making one this year but you might have to sell your ride to buy one in INFI!

if your looking for a production line one try the bark river lil nessie also the Bark river wolf river is very similar...but if your looking for custom I hear fiddleback is the nessmuk master..

OH CRAP!!! i almost frogot about the busse nessmuck... :D:o

well i found one.... thanks anyways guys. if i really like this design i will adventure off to some other makes.

Rhet are kind of a custom knife. no companies /big factory like Case, Gerber, Cold Steel, etc. make them, but Busse is gonna so it only takes money. Go to Dan Koster and get one with the natural micarta handle but there are other folk arond that crank them out. Pat

Fiddleback makes a great Nessmuk.

Feels great in the hand and is very loyal to the traditional pattern.

Edit: So which one did you get? We need some pics!

Fiddleback makes the best ones here IMO.

Fiddleback made mine and I couldn't be more pleased. It obviously wasn't cranked out, but very carefully hand made. Black and red liners, true black Gabon ebony handle. Nice from end to end. And for not a bit more money than the "cranked out" production knives.

Stomper on this site makes a very nice one as well. He made this one for me from 01 steel.

This one was made for me by Blessing Knives from 1095 steel. Great knife as well.

If you pick a production over a Fiddleback you are crazy. He makes the best Nessmuks and sheath out there. I have been offered a lot for mine but will never sell it. You would have a lot better customer service with his as well.

Who even makes a production Nessie? I have a Bark River Lil Nessie on order but thats about the only one I have seen.

you can easily make one out of an old hickory 6'' skinner. there are many examples on the web. cost about 6-8 bucks to pick up the blade of 1095 steel.

I have a fiddleback nessie and absolutely love it. He does great work and the sheath's he makes are very top notch quality. I love his take on the nessie-very true to form and he is a great guy to deal with! Good luck on whatever you chose.

Dang. You guys sure know how to make a guy feel at home...

Snow, those pics are AWESOME!! Lovin the patina on that knife!

I'm finishing up my orders now. I should be done mid summer. After that I'm going to do some Koster style deals. Maybe not as big. I'm thinking of runs of 25 knives at a time. I'm going to look into getting JRE to do the sheaths so I can focus on the knives. When that happens there will be a good semi production Nessmuk available!! Same plan with my Bushcrafter and Bushcrafter Jr, and also the EDC and Bow Legged Joe!
