Where to get a Nessmuck???

Dang. You guys sure know how to make a guy feel at home...

Snow, those pics are AWESOME!! Lovin the patina on that knife!

I'm finishing up my orders now. I should be done mid summer. After that I'm going to do some Koster style deals. Maybe not as big. I'm thinking of runs of 25 knives at a time. I'm going to look into getting JRE to do the sheaths so I can focus on the knives. When that happens there will be a good semi production Nessmuk available!! Same plan with my Bushcrafter and Bushcrafter Jr, and also the EDC and Bow Legged Joe!

I want on that list for your Nessie!

If you want traditional -> Fiddleback

If you want modern -> Koster

That's my opinion at least. I have a Koster nessmuk in 3V and it is hands down, far and away, my favorite knife.

It's my Avatar, if you want to know what it looks like.

I own a Koster Nessmuk too, Ironwood with mosaic pins and a mosaic lanyard tube. I was also part of the design process over at Ramanon, which is Nessmuk central. Its a great knife, no ifs ands or butts about it.

Another vote for Fiddleback.

Dale Chudzinski made my all time favorite but you can read about him in the Good, Bad and Ugly:thumbdn:

Fiddleback has the right thin blade, a nice edge and an ample handle. Kid Coteau also makes a nice one from the pics but I've never handled one. Here's my FB one with friends;)

If you pick a production over a Fiddleback you are crazy. He makes the best Nessmuks and sheath out there. I have been offered a lot for mine but will never sell it. You would have a lot better customer service with his as well.

Better than who? :confused:I saw Koster mentioned earlier, are you saying he doesnt have good customer service?

That reminds me, I've really got to get off my duff and order a bushcraft knife Mr Fiddler, I dont fancy Nessies but that little utility really catches my eye. :D

Dan Koster's customer service cannot be questioned. He is a top notch guy, and bears at good bit of responsibility for my starting to make knives too...

As does Scott Gossman.

Thats cool to hear!! Its one of my favorites too.

I actually have a Bushcrafter Jr that is not quite perfect to sell right now. Just haven't done it. The flaw is a few deep scratches I couldn't/didn't get out before putting the handle on. I was going to keep it, but instead I've decided to sell it. It'll go up in the next few days.

Sure Fiddleback- offer more Nessies just as I am ready to go back to school!!! I hate you guys.......in a good way!!!

What can I say? It's probably my favorite knife, so it gets a lot of use. Especially in the kitchen. I only regret that I don't have more than one.

I am just falling in love with this design and cant find a place to buy one...

koster makes one but for some reason I am just no feeling that one

i could go searching but even if i find one i will not know if its any good.

can someone direct me to a place or person that can make one of these?
I dont really want to get a custom one, because, they take longer and coast more but if thats what i got to do, then ill do it.

PICS ARE ALWAYS AWSOME!!! :D:)

What's not to feel ?:D

I've long been attracted to the Bark River Lil Nessy, but they are starting to get a bit thin on the ground; I don't think they are making it anymore.

Okay, here is my Siegle. 1095 and green linen micarta. It had a nice satin finish, but I soaked it in vinegar for a subdued finish (personally I like the results...)

I like the shape of that Siegel!!

Andy, the moderator orders, 'scuse me, politely and eagerly requests that you start a thread showing many pictures of the knives you've made, please. Yes, your own thread. :) Your Nessies look great!
