I've only ever ordered from and love their prices and their shipping. I really can't complain about their services. But I am curious if there are any other online stores as great as amazon and what your thoughts are on them in comparison.

????? Ordered from who? I have ordered from gp knives several times, quick shipping and good prices. I have also ordered from knives ship free with excellent service and prices. There are lots of good options out there for ordering knives,as well as looking on the exchange here.

My bad I meant to say Amazon.com

Watch for website name dropping if they are not knife dealer members on this site, which they are not. I personally much prefer to order from a reputable knife dealer so if there is a problem I know they will take care of me. The selection is usually better and the prices are just as good also.
A lot of where I look depends on the type of knife that I am searching for also.

I just checked out the gp sight and their prices are awesome. Basically what I want to know is, is this a trusted dealer that will deliver good service? And is there any downside to ordering from Amazon.com?

We're not to discuss dealers or distributors who are not Blade Forum members. Like it or not, it is the rule.

If a place to buy knives is not a vendor on this site, then you are not supposed to recommend them. You will see some posters try to skate around around this by referring to the large South American river or something similar. Just avoid talking about them completely is my recommendation.
I personally don't like to shop there because I like to ask questions and get specific pictures of the knife that I am buying. This will help make sure I don't get a lemon. A knife dealer will go to that trouble for me, most big box sites will not. Plus the selection is much better on a dedicated knife website. GP is great all around.

What do you mean? Explain it as if you were talking to an idiot lol

What he means is, businesses and dealers who come to this forum have the option to pay monthly or annual dues here for advertising rights (specifically $350 a year or $100 a month). With that said, I it's been years since I have been here so I will PM you who I have used in the past as I don't want to incur the wrath of the bladed gods (I don't know if they are still a paying dealer, but I have been using them since I found them here after my registration).

I strictly AVOID Crapazon and Fleabay. Order from dealers who support this Forum -they deserve our business - and they ONLY sell knives (and knife related accessories, of course). I refuse to buy a knife from someone who also sells tires and hair-care products. Good grief!

That seems kinda limiting given that the world does not revolve around Blade Forum. But I understand the sentiment.

Kershaw guy and bladehq are both great, kershaw guy has the fastest shipping of anyone and is a great guy to deal with. Other than that I buy on the exchange here and from custom makers.

I live in Vancouver BC, Canada...about 6 blocks from Warriors and Warriors...just off Cambie and 12th. They carry basically everything lol. I am BLESSED to be able to take a 5 minute walk and physically see and handle any knife I wish to examine. They have a website online...their prices are good...their delivery charges are fair....the staff is knowledgeable...and I invite all knife lovers to move to Vancouver...bring your familiy and friends...become Canadian citizens...pay taxes...be happy! :p

Fair enough - I do on occasion buy from dealers who are not BF members, but I always check the BF-supporting dealers first. If they don't have what I'm after, of course I'll look elsewhere, but never ever Scamazon or EvilBay.

I have ought from alot of sites. I get almost everthing on BladeHQ though. They always give back to the community, and have good prices.

I started on Amazon but quickly moved to the dealers here after joining cause they got everything I need! If I look around and don't find it I'll look to other sources. I'll hit up amazon if I need to, I've bought a lot of merchandise from them in general and they have yet to fail me. Don't under any circumstance drop prices from non-BF dealers....you'll get a slap in the face when your post is edited by a mod to censor the non-dealer you speak of (this coming from experience)

To make such rash generalizations seems foolish to me. Every retailer/marketplace will have their issues from time to time. If you use your head both of these places can be great.

I've ordered a bunch of times from the auction block. If you can find a seller that has a good reputation and you personally have had good luck with then you'll be fine. I just found a CTS-204P PM2 for a really decent price considering the secondary market effect.
