Where you you guys order your knives?

That seems kinda limiting given that the world does not revolve around Blade Forum. But I understand the sentiment.

True, but if you owned a store a paid a dealer membership you wouldn't be too happy if you had a bunch of people constantly raving about Amazon or other stores. For those that do not know or understand, does it make sense to give free advertising on the backs of those thwt pay to help keep this very site open? In GBU (this section) people can absolutly show all the lust they have for Amazon and any other source for buying their items so long as there are no counterfeit/clone items directly being linked. Some of the dealer members actually have better prices than Amazon on some products. I was searching through this weekend and found quite a lot of low prices through some folks.

It really depends on what brand and model of knives you are looking for. KSF and Knifeworks are great as well as New Graham.
I like buying here on the exchange as well. There is a wide variety of knives offered. Many times still NIB or lightly used, and sometimes you can save a little $$$.
Check feedback and the GBU thread before you deal with a member though. Most are established and terrific to deal with, but sometimes a newer member will come here to sell, and you could potentially have problems. Any bad members here get quick attention, and the word spreads quickly...

I've only ever ordered from and love their prices and their shipping. I really can't complain about their services. But I am curious if there are any other online stores as great as amazon and what your thoughts are on them in comparison.

There are over a dozen dealers I buy from. It just depends what I'm shopping for.

If you list a particular knife brand, style, or model you're shopping for I'm sure you will get some specific recommendations.

Or if there is a particular dealer you're considering, just say the name and the other readers will recommend or not.

BladeHQ & Baryonyx get more of my disposable income that is reasonable. Never had an issue with either.

To make such rash generalizations seems foolish to me. Every retailer/marketplace will have their issues from time to time. If you use your head both of these places can be great.

Not rash or foolish at all - I gave 'em a shot many times. And my experiences were as follows: horrible (or non-existent) communication, items not as described (or completely fake), poor packaging, shipping method not as paid for (and s..u..p..e..r s..l..o..w to boot), etc., etc. Like I said, I gave 'em a shot, but eventually you gotta know when to just walk away. Never had any of those problems here on BF.

... If you can find a seller that has a good reputation and you personally have had good luck with then you'll be fine....

You just made my point: you have to SEARCH for a seller whom "if you can find" with a good reputation and "if you personally have good 'luck' with"...yadda yadda. In other words, you have to have bad experiences first to determine whom not to deal with, then hopefully you get lucky and find someone worth dealing with. That's never been an issue for me here. Thanks, but no thanks, I'll stick to BF and the legit dealers.

If you look at the for sale by dealers thread, occasionally a BF dealer will have deals that will put the auction sites to shame. HKS had a great one recently, and I got some awesome deals from Bladeco in the past. To each his own..I try and support the BF dealers first.
