I haven't seen him post here in a while so I checked his profile and its been almost a month since he's been here "Last Activity: 07-25-2009 02:14 PM". I hope everything is going well and he's just busy working!

So this begs the question...Who's watching us!?!?!?!?!?!? Does this mean I can start rumors about what Becker models will be making a come back? :D:confused:

He has family obligations from what he told me during our last phone call. I think he will be back around the end of the week. Doug

Yeah, I've been kinda missing him, too. It's always more interesting when he's around.

Really now...it seems this place is slowing to a crawl.
Nothing new but grips...onward to other makers.

All I am saying is, he should pop in here from time to time with some type of frequency. Faith has nothing to do with good business. I had a lot of intrest when this forum started and have watched it turn into a same old question, phrased a bit different, type of place. There has been next to zero input from Mr Becker as of late. I like his products
(2, 11, & 9) and would like to hear from him a bit more. He is the modrtr. and should be here a bit more as well as talk about his products and provide some insight to anything he can. I support him, and would like to see he here more, period. If not, designate someone from Kabar to modrt. to keep intrest in the product line.

I'm just thinking he's starting to work with a new company, trying to meet deadlines on new designs, and probably just doesnt have enough time to pop in just to settle some nerves.

Just after the Blade show there was some talk of a collaboration with RAT. I just wonder...

Hmmm. I wonder if we'd end with less expensive RATs or more expensive Beckers?

I generally buy RATs to fill in around Beckers. If a Becker and a RAT are close in terms of size and function (BK-2 vs. RC-5, for example), I'll generally go with the Becker. Both companies manufacture great knives, of course. But IMO, Becker beats RAT in terms of price to performance ratio. And for me, that's the cutting edge (so to speak). So I could possibly see the advantage of RAT collaborating with Becker to become more price competitive. But I don't see the advantage from Ethan's perspective unless it's to increase his product line without having to incur R&D costs. (Are we thinking BK-3 and BK-4 here?)

Remember a long time ago there were some photos of new prototypes, so maybe he is working with Kabar to get them moving. I think he will show up eventually.
