Where's the Copperlock love?

This is one thats been on the radar for a long time, looks sleek as all get out
but i never have the $$ when i find them :/
and when i got $$ there is always something else shiny that grabs my attention :p

A favorite pattern of mine. The mini is a great watchpocket carry and the large is a perfect backpocket carry. I've never seen a Copperlock that wasn't sharp when new. And I've never seen one with any blade play.
Top row are larges - bottom row are mini's (perspective not on a flat plane)

I also have one of the Purple Haze wharncliffe Copperlocks, but it's so fugly (more white than purple) that I haven't taken a pic of it yet. Gonna be my first dye job.

 Great collection there deskil!

Here is my mini in smooth chestnut bone, I really like it!

I noticed Case just added the Mini Copperlock to the CV Red bone series.
I started to order one, but I haven't been very impressed with the red bone on others in that series.

Has anyone gotten one of the new CV models ?

I'm a big fan of the Mini-Copperhead and Mini-Copperlock. They seem to be a good balance between pocketability and function for my uses.

In general, Case should refrain from calling it dark red bone and just call it what it is: pink bone.

Great looking collection! Not only do they not have blade play, but every one I have encountered locks up like a vault! Kerchunk!

I love mine : light, slim and quite some blade for the size. It has one of the tightest pivot's I ever had (I mean no play whatever you wiggle) and the lockback is perfect. Kerchunk indeed !
SS steel and ginger ale Winterbottom jigged bone scales. A great little knife.

Yeah, thats why I held off on ordering one of the new CV Red Bone models.
I've never tried dying scales, so I'll just pass on it.

Got my two copperlocks in. You guys were right! Freaking tight lock up and no blade play. Killer!

I'll post pics later when the phone isn't dead.

True, that. Case should give lessons to some of our other traditional knife makers on the design of lockback knives. They've got it down.

While off the general topic, I agree that the Case Red Bone CV family is hit and miss on the dye quality. I have several from that family. Two are beautifully done, the other two less so. I don't mind dyeing the red bone SS knives if they need it, but the process always causes pitting in CV blades when I have tried it, so unless I can handle or see pics of the individual knife prior to purchase, I tend to skip the Case "Dark Red" Bone CV.
