People have been asking for an INFI RW since about forever. One might have thought that the forum would be lit up with positive comments on this new blade.

Does our cup runneth over?

I would be interested but just bought grab bags. I would not be upset at all if I happened to get one in a bag.

Three Team Gemini's, an ASH2, a Basic 8, NMSFNO, and a Sarge 7.
Got a Dog Soldier on order too.
I'm good for now.

Times have changed, haven't they. New release posts used to get about 30 posts a minute.

Ok, I'll bite...just because I like debate ;)

I'll attack this from the assumed position that many, many of us already have sr101 RW's in the arsenal, so...

For it's intended uses, How is an INFI Ratweiler an upgrade over a diff. tempered sr101 RW?

I agree ^^, I've got SHe2 + it's variant and SR101 ratweiler @.25 So for me it's a tough call with two grab bags coming and already owning the others. Not to mention other 7.5 blades. I'm on the fence but may end up ordering one or possibly two ??? The thinner infi has peaked my interest

None of that seemed to matter 10 years ago... maybe it's because they never used to release the same model in varying steels.

Only have seen one or two posts for and infi RW in as many years but have seen 10k for the HOGB8LE and hundreds for blades like the TGLBLE in many diff threads over the same time period. With many more to come of course! :) Maybe that has something to do w it?:rolleyes:

Being so new to the madness I'm treading cautiously~ I got some love for this but money don't buy love and love don't buy Infi - I'm holding out for something that really blows my socks off (TGLBLE pipe dream) and although I know this will look amazing once some of you start stripping, I already have a blade that's basically the same thing in my small pile. So like a lot of you, I'm not to the "I need 5 of each to start" point yet. I went looking Monday and would have jumped on it- but then I cooled- funny how that works. Bottom line, I think it looks great, nothing to do with the knife at all-

The newer members don't understand the gravity of such a release Resin! The rest of 'em are either drunk or off their neuroleptics!

I was trying to find a reason to order this, but I have a B8, competition finish TGLB and a Bunker Buster LE, plus a number of other high quality 8" options (Koster 3V Monster Nessie, Survive! GSO-8 on order), not to mention a number of slightly longer blades that are probably still lighter weight than the RW (B10, B11, lean chophouse, Carrothers light chopper).

So, yeah, guess I'll have to wait for something else to come along to try out the desert sage / green micarta combo.

Don't get me wrong either I'm in! I'm so in! Just saying would love to see those blades also is all. ;) My other opinion/theory is just good ol supply and demand. Lots out there for sale on the form right now and lots of blades coming out over last 2yrs and who knows how many to come very soon!?! :)

The answer is the current offering is thinner .21 vs .25, the fullers should make it lighter (Quicker) and it's Infi!

This is why:( The New Rat is however thinner (.21 vs .25) and the fullers due reduce weight, which in theory should make it lighter and quicker in hand. Plus I like the look of the fullers on this (Ratweiler) knife. Oh and it's INFI (which I prefer)

The cup runneth over, but experience tells me Swamp offerings never elicit the same response as BusseCo

I love the blade. I just have other blades that fill that void and do not have enough funds to buy every blade that pops up.
Besides, I'm saving for a HOGB8LE that I probably won't have the funds for til they hit the exchange a year or more from now, after I sell a kidney and a liver.
But don't fret, the love is always there.

I figured folks were tired of hearing me pop off about it already :D I'm afraid many of the old school in the Swamp just don't post as much any more, which saddens me, and that SW blades just don't generate the buzz of Busse Combat blades. I love the Rats, but then I'm about a half a bubble off level o_O   :D

Regarding the knife, I've had or still have the LE, the op2w thin, and the op2w thick. I haven't owned an original run RW with the flat slabs, but have some chopweilers with them. I also don't have a terror monkey version, although it is close to my LE. Strictly my opinion based on what I've used, but I think Jerry got it right with the pictured INFI version. Literally the only thing I'd like to know for sure is if the milling will have the wide grooves like the LE handles (please oh please Jerry mill it like the LEs!!!!!) Just my opinion again, but I like that milling so much better than the op2w handles.

I don't know why, but I do know it means more for us.
