Where's the love?

Yes a picture (Top of the knife scales) would prove most beneficiary :p

I'll see what I can find that photobucket hasn't ate.

Have you used a Ratweiler or Chopweiler? I wouldn't want either without the choil; they're extremely useful on these knives!

Absolutely with you on this one J. I'm usually in the no choil camp, but it's just in the dna of these two blades. Wouldn't want them without it.

Ok I get that but wasn't the original original original or LE offered in infi? If anything this gives me much hope for those releases though idk about the timeline, or about that folder o_O
Nope. First RW offering in INFI right here in the present. :)

Tommy, this is all I've got easily available where I'm at right now.

Side and top pictures of the Ratweiler LE, satin SR-101. Keep in mind that the LEs are thin stock, like .150 or so.......

The best side pic of an op2w fatty that I have with me. Sorry, no top of this one. I'll see if I can get a side by side shot later. ETA TommyGun56 TommyGun56 check out duramax's post #2 of the 'perspective' thread. Top view of the exact same model.

No doubt, I think I missed the original Team Gemini offering's, but ordered 2 of the TGLB's (my first Busse), Remember calling the Shop (talked to Lexi) and told her I wanted one in Desert Sage with Tan and Black Handles! She said you mean one like Daryl Dixon uses? I said Who? I did not who the hell Daryl Dixon was-Lexi just laughed and said "ya Right":(
LOL, what I mean is this pic...which PB decimated the fullsize image of...is the first look we got at the remamed Team Gemini (originally "Gemini 7"), and is what caught TWB prop scouts' eyes. Jerry intro'd the TG @ Blade in June '10, TWD aired that fall. :) We were the original TG fan club, haha! ;)download (2).jpg

I've never seen one episode of that show but when I saw the knife the first time I just fell for it, it's perfection in conception in my eyes -

True story: the first time I ever saw the blade was in the hands of Daryl Dixon. I did not know what I was looking at but knew I loved the built in double talon guards w the holes in them. So I serched for a long time to try to find the knife or one like it but I would never search custom knives bc I didn't believe the prop budget for a no name zombie show, back then it was still new, would allow for such an expensive knife budget. I don't know why I never searched for "Daryl Dixons or twd knife" but I didnt and guess I'm just slow. Anyhow I did a search years later for worlds toughest knife and wouldn't you know it... there it was.. the one I had been looking for so long! Then I had to buy it off the resale market bc I had just missed them from Busse. And, now, I hooked lol! :confused:o_O:D

I remember well when the TG was first being teased and then released. I did not care for it much but I bought one anyway, because back then I was a hog, and hog's do that. I never came to like it and parted with it. Now that I am no longer a hog, I see the error in my past ways. Now if I like the offering I buy it, if not I pass, but if I really like something, I try and buy a bunch of them. My hog days are long gone, now I am just a guy without regrets who buys a knife now and then. If you like the Infi RW buy a bunch of them!

I love the looks of the Infi Ratweiler but that new HVAC system and refrigerator killed it for me.:(

Ok, I'll bite...just because I like debate ;)

I'll attack this from the assumed position that many, many of us already have sr101 RW's in the arsenal, so...

For it's intended uses, How is an INFI Ratweiler an upgrade over a diff. tempered sr101 RW?
agree, i already have 3 RW's ... one is an LE thin, one regular RW thin, and a fat RW ... i think the infi model is a great deal though but i am waiting for something i just can resist, which will probably happen soon knowing the great blades busse releases :)

People have been asking for an INFI RW since about forever. One might have thought that the forum would be lit up with positive comments on this new blade.

Does our cup runneth over?

The newer members don't understand the gravity of such a release Resin! The rest of 'em are either drunk or off their neuroleptics!

Nope. First RW offering in INFI right here in the present. :)

Ok so that does make it pretty bad ass then historically speaking Jaxx... but that still begs to OP question of where da luv at brah? If all yawl HOGS want this one for so long then where the love at indeed? Don't blame it on the piglets guys, ignorance is bliss! This little piggy no stay home and only been to the market for 2yrs :D but will be hogging the trough if the TGLBLE and HOGB8LE is ever released is all I'm sayin! :) Much love will be shown lol! And still much more running over haha!;)

Still I'm in for one INFI RW cuz its infi and bc of that sexy fuller! :D

Have you used a Ratweiler or Chopweiler? I wouldn't want either without the choil; they're extremely useful on these knives![/QUOTE]

A choil serves to move your hand closer to the sharpened edge by moving the sharpened edge further from the handle. By doing so, it moves your hand off the handle and onto the blade. The handle is designed to be held. The blade is not. The inclusion of a choil- which reduces the length of the sharp part of what is supposed to be sharp in order to move you hand away from what is supposed to be held by your hand- is a colossal design fail. Design a proper handle, blade, and junction between the two and a "finger choil" is unnecessary. Bring the sharpened edge to the handle (what you are supposed to hold) and there is no need to choke up on the blade (what you are supposed to use to cut). Don't get me wrong, the ratweiler is undeniably cool and would look "wrong" without the "finger choil," but I'm no longer supporting the blade tax. These are my reasons for not jumping on an otherwise very cool knife. Other opinions are equally valid.

Can't say it better than the Bossman, so here's the other side of the debate:

A usable choil puts the edge directly in front of your index finger. . . It's right there with your thumb directly above it offering the maximum amount of control over your rearward edge as possible.

A knife with no choil can put your index finger more than an inch away from your index finger due to the guard and ricasso area. o_O:(

A usable choil gives you far better control of the edge.

It is true that a knife with a usable choil can cost you approx. 1/2" to 3/4" of edge, but the ease of sharpening and superior rearward edge control are benefits that, I believe, outweigh the minor loss of edge length.

I respect your opinion and think we should discuss this over a bottle of scotch and several cigars!

We can get hammered and then whittle on barstool legs!!! . . . And we'll do it all in the name of scientific research!!!:eek::thumbsup::eek::cool:

Let's Drink!

Jerry :D

I agree, especially on blades ~7" and up, but have and use them on blades of all sizes (esp. Spyderco). Some of my blades don't have one, or just a very small sharpening notch. I like those too.

I could certainly go for a CABS, btw ;) :D

I ordered 7. There's my love. ;):D

Yeh no I saw that! That is much love fo sho!:thumbsup: That was more of a generic "where da luv at?" As in, what do you think the lack of overwhelming response to the recent release is sir? :)

Point I was failing to make to the OP question is that this might have been more of a hog dream come true then a piglet one. As stated above, new guys, we don't really know no better and therefore really can't be blamed that we don't jump all over something we didn't really have in mind right? And there's a lot of new blood in here. :)

Still I'm happy for those whose dreams came true w this offering!:thumbsup::)
