Which apples to you prefer?

Of the apples that I can get here in Kommifornia, I like Fuji and Gala best, and Pink Lady and Braeburn are pretty good, too. When I was growing up in NY, nothing could top a Cortland that was fresh from the tree, and Northern Spy wasn't too shabby, either.
 
When I lived in N.Y.State (Buffalo), my favorite was Empire!
Nice snap, juicy, and good balance between tart and sweet!
The Braeburns out west here are pretty good, and Pink Ladies and Galas are close behind.
 
So many to choose from...

My all time favorite is the Cortland. I don't eat apples any other time of the year, but in the fall, I am an apple fiend!

Other favs... Macoun, Paula Red, empire, jonemac, mutsu.
