I feel your pain. I had a hell of a time putting a polished edge on mine too. And then, to add insult to injury, I accidentally chipped the blade all to hell, so I sent it in for LifeSharp/warranty... Came back with what appears to be a brand new blade, with a pretty decent grind, but the pivot is too tight and it won't gravity close now.
