If this wasn't partly serrated it would get a lot more pocket time. It is a significantly better knife than the 765 that was over designed and solved lots of imaginary problems.

This Benchmade 273BK-2201. I'm pretty pleased with it. Nice size and better fit and finish than most Benchmades I've handled lately. Even the secondary bevels are even.

The new 940-1702 was carried today and will be the norm for a while. Slim and sleek, but also robust. Nice knife. I get why the 940 is so popular.

Thanks! There's something about those older Axis lock designs that I just really like.

I have been meaning to pick up a newer BM sometime soon, though. Or at least one still in production if not the newest design. I think M mrfields has me about sold on a 490 with the pics of his nicely worn in one, once I have some hobby spending money to spare.

yeah the 490’s pretty sweet, i like the way the al scales wear too. am carrying his big bro the 495 today, along with a few other friends. it’s like a barrage with a flipper tab. so much fun to play with

it’s the only auto that i own. i’ve tried a few push button autos & can’t get used to the mechanism, the auto axis is much smoother for me. my son has my old 950, loves it to death
