You nailed it brother. DOAT scales came my way via forum member nbrackett and I picked up the 940 with some of the love already applied. I thought the clean look of the scales would oddly complement the blade. Needless to say, I dig it!

My 531 has been ruling the EDC but my ole trusty 552 with some added G-10 scales has been in the pocket all week. This pic is from a few days ago.

940 Osborne. If it sliced a little better, it would have my pocket all the time! I find my benchmade is more of an experience to use. The axis lock, nice finish, and sleek design. It's all a pleasure to use. My spyderco paramilitary is more of a slicing monster.

This Alias 2 arrived in the mail yesterday. With a little cleanup it's a keeper, and is what's in my pocket today!

What do you guys think of a smaller benchmade 940? The knife is very slim/sleek, but it seems plenty long. If they kept everything the same, and shortened it, would that make a good EDC for people who like smaller blades? It would be extremely compact, and also plenty tough for its profile
