Which Blade release are you looking forward to the most?

Izmash, you have a good eye!! I didn't see this before:

Dan advised against throwing the boot daggers, I don't think they are balanced for it, and I'm assuming they will be high hardness, anyways

To me, the nmshbmlb slabs where a bit to thick, but still felt very fast ( I prefer slimmer handles usually) regardless, I'm very excited for this one to come out

I hear ya Jared. Mag handles are nice but I plan to get hand smoothed (if the shop is willing). I want the scales to look similar to the original SHBM.
This is easily the most exciting release. The hawks are a very close second.

NMSHBM and one of the Swamp Rat Hawks...I'm actually leaning towards the Sniper Hawk right now though...

HOGNMFSH made by Garth

Now to start bribing and convincing him that he WANTS to do this for me. Just planting a seed :D

Out of anyone who said the NMSHBM, we're you at Blade? I'm just curious as to how the handle felt and what the weight/balance is like compared to an NMFBM.

Think Basic 11 with magnum straight handles. It is definitely my new favorite for feel. For my big mitts, Jerry absolutely nailed it for size weight and feel. Best in hand feel of any knife at the show for me. The katana was second.

I want to buy these knifes in the following order:

1.-NMSHBM
2.-NMFSH
3.-Katana- in some far future

I only hope they wont appear in a after-blade ganza all at once or I will go fu..ing crazy. Can't afford all at once, I have LBTG on order already.

I'm gonna listen more to Beef on this one not necessarily because he's right but because he's the one with the answer I wanted to hear :D

I felt the weight and balance weren't right for throwing either but it sure had the look so I'm gonna do it

That's exactly what I thought when I first saw it -- a B-11 with straight handles. I wish I could've handled it. I am very picky when it comes to Micarta/G-10 on choppers and love my B-11, so the SHBM is in my maybe pile until I handle it. That or until I stop trying to be a responsible adult.

it feels lighter and more handle-heavy in my short time with the knife. not really the most helpful but I tried :p they didn't let me chop anything at the show

Were you able to handle an NMFBM at the show for comparison, or is that impression based on your memory? No offense intended, just trying to gather data.

I think it would be hard to predict the feel of the LBNMSHBM compared to other blades based only on what we have been told. The LB treatment affords Jerry the ability to fine tune the balance of a knife, whether he is trying for blade heavy, neutral, or handle heavy.

The NMFBM is a dedicated chopper, but I wonder if Jerry calibrated the feel of the LBNMSHBM to be more neutral, as more of a big, all-purpose knife?
