Which CPK are you carrying today?

Put a DCC clip on this BuyBrown EDC sheath I got after the first EDC run. Never cared much for the Dozier kydex sheath.

The 4V doesn’t like being stored in leather.

The FK2 was whining about wanting some fresh air, so I took it out for a little 9+ mile jaunt in the mountains today.

The first hour was off-trail, and involved a decent amount of bushwhacking and route-finding to end up on the ridge we wanted to traverse.

Eventually we got above the thicccness and then it was pretty easy cruising from there, through mountain wildflowers in their peak.

After ascending about 1200' vertical feet, the FK2 said he was tired and wanted a break. Feeling sorry for the little guy, we obliged. And then we explained to him we still had another 1000' up to go...

Interesting Finnish snacks were consumed.

Once we topped out on the ridge, we intersected a trail, and then it was easy cruising from there, with great views.

FK2 was bitching about not being able to see anything, so we lifted him up so he could have a look around.

And then it was time to descend back down to the valley. Time for a BLT and a pint...

Got a little bit of painting done today.

An EDC has been on my list for years. Finally found one at a decent price and managed to be first in the scramble to get it. I prefer smaller knives and have been very happy with this one so far. The horizontal Dozier sheath seems to be divisive, but I love how well it carries.

- Bill's / duramax belt loop kydex enforcement is cool.
- I love that I can see faint grinding marks on Nathan's Cruwear Mule.

But.....
I did a double take, shook my head, wiped my eyes, and looked closer when I first read Shortbread Rounds. The name alone + the Red & Black Box had me fooled for a second into thinking Federal had released some new kind of LE/Defense Round
