Which folder for military purposes?

Leatherman Wave (a multi-tool will see more use in the sandbox than any other folder you've got)

A Spyderco Endura with a lanyard attached will be a really nice friend.

Hi!

I'm looking for backupp for my Jackhammer. It will be user within military.
Which brands do you recommend? Should I buy a half plain/half serrated blade, all plain or all serrated?

I was looking at Spyderco, but I'm lost in the jungle of folders.

Can you help me anyhow?

Thanks,

This thread is going on 3 pages and I don't think there was a mention of YOUR TRADE.

What do you do in the military? That'll dictate what type of knife may be more suitable for you......

Someone who is a professional door-kicker may want different features than someone who crimps away with a multi-tool doing EOD, who will want something different from...........

I'd choose the Spyderco Manix, the Benchmade Rukus, the Kershaw Junkyard Dog II or anything from Zero Tolerance.

possibly one of Anonymous

I have no idea what lutz means.

I also don't understand what "one of the Anonymous" means.

I find a cartoon of a big white guy with a machine gun blowing away what looks like a black female sheep, for no apparent reason, more than a bit disturbing.

Mods, you guys have anything to say?

Rich

lulz -> lols -> multiple of LOL, meaning that they do what they do for the humor they find in it

lulz has spread across the web, it really isn't exclusive to one board, that's just pretty much where it took off, same as most memes.

and the guy with the machine gun is from a classic side-scrolling video game

Keep it simple and handy, it doesn't need to be really expensive since you can easily lose it or have it stolen.

A popular folding knife commonly carried in the US military & Special Forces is a Benchmade folder. Primary purpose is to perform mundane daily tasks, possibly useful to cut yourself out of tangled-webbing, not for actual fighting or ninja-moves.

Whatever else you get (I like my Mini Grip and would recommend many Benchmades) make sure to throw a small SAK in your other pocket- I recommend the Ambassador because the scissors are big enough to be useful. The toothpick, tweezers and scissors will come in very handy very often.

Thanks for your service!
