Which Folders Do You OWN and LOVE, but DON'T Carry?

Please do more than just list them. How about a brief
reason as to WHY you don't carry them?

For example, I love my CRKT Desert Cruiser, but it's too
bulky. I also love my M21-04 and M16-14LE, but only carry
them in my back pocket because clip placement makes
both knives ride high. (I could change the clips, but that
only serves to make them tip-down and puts the bulk of
the weight into my side.)

I often carry knives I don't like the best because they're
easier to cart around.

All but my William Henry, B-09, Ironwood handles. That one I love and carry, I was going to make #299 by Todd Davison my EDC, but it is going on the display shelf, just to nice to beat up on.:D:D

i love my spyderco karambit, but it's not very practical.
i love my cs voyager, but it's too damn big for everyday carry.
i love my spydie catcherman, but i haven't gone fishing in 5 years.
i love my cheap korean swinguard switchblade, but the safety's broken. and it's a switchblade.
i generally like all my knives (and that's a lot of liking), but those are my favorites that stay home.

Benchmade 942 in s30v. It's just a tad too big for me. I carry all my knives loose in my pocket and the 942 (as well as other knives of that size and bigger) turns sideways in the bottom of my pocket (bottoms out) and it's uncomfortable. But I love the knife. Amazing slicer.

This one...

I don't carry it because I like it so much, I can't stand the thought of scuffing up the BG-42 blade.
It will also be quite valuable in the future.
I think I should get another one.

I love my Rukus but its too large for everyday pocket carry.
I love my Camillus Maxx 5.5, but... same reason.
I love my Al Mar Shrike, but it doesn't protect your fingers from sliding up on the blade.
I love my Lone Wolf T2 in cocobolo, but... same reason.
I love my BM710 and Wegner ProHunter and Kershaw Lahar but the latest purchase usually gets carried so I got the Manix in my pocket right now!

Benchmade 710HS
Benchmade Dejavoo

Both really nice knives, but they are larger than I need.
While I want to try out the M2 blade on the 710, I also want to keep it in good shape

How about "Can't" carry? I want to carry my Benchmade 32 Morpho, but I "can't" because of where i live.

I have three knives(sold them all to get a sebbie!!!), 1 of them a slippy my grandpa carried, so my 2 knives that don't have sentimental value get carried!

i dont own any i wont use or carry , i cant afford collectors , other than my grandfather's he had made and passed on to me .

but my what im carring now : is spyderco pursian , buck 110, LM surge, old timer 830trapper

my 2 favorites i carry are the browning FDX #1 and Tops Cochise .

i really like my crawford perfigo but dont carry it 'cuz its tip down and i train strictly with tip up.

Benchmade Osborne (love axis lock)
Microtech Mini Socom MA
Sog Twitch
Benchmade Benchmite auto when need something to carry in dress close

I have a number of Protechs and Microtech auto's but can not carry in SC but you can marry your cousin

I have a 95 Mictotech mini UDT I bought in 95 and carried for years when I lived in NC. Spring broke and then I lost it or so I thought found it again and retired it. Best carry knife every. Found a 2002 mini UDT but SC laws.

I have around 100 folders. I don't carry about half of that number. Why? Because the law here won't let me. They have locks of one kind or another and this makes them far too dangerous for an ordinary person to carry in public. We are talking a criminal record, heavy fine and/or jail time.
Don't you wish you lived in Britain?:(

My Todd Begg Glimpse 2 with LSCF. It's my best flipper, but I'd like to keep it my safe queen. It's also a bit big for pocket carry.

I only collect "users" that fit my personal taste, so everything I have is intended for carry when I buy it. Also, I have carried all of my knives at least a short time after getting them.

That said, my two favorite knives that I don't carry much right now are a mini-RSK (I love those knives because of their blade shape... it's my favorite for the kinds of work I do with a knife) and an Al-Mar Nomad. This one I like for its F&F, the materials used, and it's size.

The reason I don't carry either of them right now is because my H&K14210 is a better fit for me even with a slightly less desirable blade than the RSK. It's an AXIS lock, which is my favorite lock. The handle allows a 4-finger grip for my average sized hands and has full liners and G10 scales... my first choices in both areas. It's open constuction and I really love open construction knives because they are so easy to keep clean. 154CM steel is my 2nd favorite after VG10 for an EDC blade. And I'm even starting to see some usefulness to the very mild recurve that the H&K has, especially since I can actually sharpen it as well as a straight blade.

I love my Spyderco Dyad, Mini Dyad, Dyad Jr, and Micro Dyad. I don't carry them because they are waaaaaaaaaaaaay too expensive to replace. I sent one in a few years ago and Spyderco couldn't repair it (I wore out one of the locks because I used that Mini Dyad all day everyday at work...no fault of the knife) so I decided I would just collect them.

I don't carry my Mcusta "Cherry Blossom" with san mai blade 'cause I bought it just to look at and play with.

I tracked down a Benchmade 940Ti-01 a couple months back with the intention of carrying it instead of my 710HS which is a bit big and bulky and not very classy looking.

But I just can't bring myself to carry it. It's too damn nice. I'm thinking of tracking down another one (keep the other nice), or simply getting a regular 940 to carry.

I also don't carry my Kopa (cocobolo) very often. It's small, and I'm usually not constrained by length limits. So it just sits around and looks nice. But there's no way I'd sell it.

I love and mostly edc SAKs. However i still love my old slightly modded first gen SOG Tomcat.
I did carry it everyday for the first two years after i bought it in the early 90's. Then i went to multitools and finally back to SAKs.
The first gen Tomcat is by far the toughest strongest lockback i have ever seen.
I loved the cordura sheath and wore it horizontally.
But the velcro on the sheath is so old it doesn't really stick anymore.
I need to mod the sheath or buy or make a new one.
