i'm having a tough time finding a #15 barlow in a sawcut. they're nowhere to be found.

If I told you, you might go out and get one.

GEC does limited runs of knives. They aren't a big knife company. If you can't easily find what you are looking for, you have to wait until they do another run (if they do) and it might be different than the previous (like a sheepsfoot instead of a clip blade) model. Might have to look for used. If you see what you are looking for be a frog and jump on it.

Sometimes, somebody starts a frenzy by posting a wonderful picture of a knife and we're

all off to the races.

Be patient and a mint one will show up in the for sale section.

I've been looking for a great #61 half congress square bolsters. (or a nice #74)

A lot of the fun seems to be in the search, not the capture.

I'd like for somebody to tell me what the perfect knife is so I could buy it next. ;)

Kind of the nature of the beast with GEC. They produce limited runs and rarely seem to repeat the same offerings. With the more popular patterns they tend to sell out pretty quickly. Some of the less popular seem to hang around on the dealers web pages for quite a long time.

You just have to watch the Exchange here closely and pick one up used. I've personally been very interested in the #74 Saddle Trapper in a jigged bone handle ever since I saw everyone's pics of the 2012 forum knife. I'm content to wait until they either do another run of that pattern or I find one on the Exchange forum.

There's plenty that are just sold out everywhere I know to look. I mean good luck finding a 1095 single blade #48 or a #66 jack in any handle option other than hideous orange (or w/e they called that bone color) or a #73LB clip or wharnie (before this most recent run). There's plenty more but those three are the knives that I've wanted and looked for with no luck.

If you are looking to buy a particular knife try posting in the "Wanted to Buy: Knives" sub forum in the Exchange. If you keep your eye on the "For Sale by Individuals" forum you might get lucky.

The Traditional forum is not really the appropriate place for these questions. It's a constant struggle to keep the Traditional forum non-commercial. We'll continue doing what we can to keep it about discussing the knives, not where to buy them.

I'm waiting for a new run of moose in the #54 frame. Not much out there now except some acrylics, and I want wood or bone.

The spear point TC Barlows came and went in the blink of an eye. :(

Patiently waiting for the next run,,, :)

i wouldn't hold your breath on another run. i'm hoping for a clip point blade barlow but i doubt they will be making more anytime soon.

When I was looking for a spear point, all I could find were clip points. Clip points everywhere!

if you could send me a visitors message with info on where you saw those clip point barlows, it would be greatly appreciated.:D

Well I could send you a list of all the dealers that used to have clip points... but it wouldn't do you any good since they're all gone now.

In just looking around, the Serpentine Jack seems to be the hardest to find in my opinion. Only ones I have found have been the more expensive prototypes.
