which gec knife are you having a hard time finding and buying?

"which gec knife are you having a hard time finding and buying?"

Something with Dead Skunk acrylic. One of our favorite road trips songs is Dead Skunk (in the middle of the road) by Loudon Wainwright. Haven't found the pattern I've been looking for yet. (Powderhorn.)

I don't think they ever made the Powderhorn 2-blade in dead skunk. The single blade toothpick, yes.

I also have a Northfield Dead Skunk Cuban, which wasn't in their pictures.
Very different looking from the standard, much redder, Tidioute Dead Skunk.

Oh man - now you've done it! I think the Dead Skunk is really neat, and now I see it was made in the #12 toothpick pattern........and now the search......

This one will be hard to find. They only made 27 of them.

The guitar shield really got me also. And to think.....if I didn't frequent the forum I wouldn't even know it existed or that it is something that I must have..........

A bit of a quandary. Love the shield but all Tangos seem to be acrylic which I don't like that much. If I can find one come Christmas time I'll buy it and give to my son who's a luthier. The other shield I need is the Beavertail but they all seem to be picked cherry wood and hard to find in a pattern I like. The search goes on!

I'm looking for some of the GEC (Schrade) autos. And if you think the Barlows are limited runs....

WHAT??? A Conductor in Dead Skunk?? That would be a must have!

Dead Skunk was a lot different in earlier releases, more bloody/white and less grey.

Missed out on a Pumpkin Patch Acrylic Northfield 66 TWICE. The acrylics are elusive. A Tractor Red Tidioute 48 has slipped off the hook as well, but I do have the Green, a lovely knife.

Then there's the 56 EZ Open single blade in Lacewood....Say what you like about certain 'Collaboration' knives with their so called limited run, but GECs really can be limited to a handful :D:eek: And a great handful of knife a that!

Regards, Will

I have always been a fan of the older #25 Barlows.
My Stag E.O. single spear and stag 2 blade Clip main are missing their ebony 2 blade clip main brother.
Im also in dire need of a TC Barlow in ebony 2 blade clip main. I NEEEEED IT!
I also remember seeing several water snake acrylic patterns back when I first found GEC but havent seen them in a while.
