Lets give the guy a day to respond. I will PP you $8.00 if he whimps out. But you better put a good post in the GB&U for me if I end up buying this beer for you. LOL

OK, but I'm going to make fun of you when I do it. :p

wow i really dont know where to start. sorry for the shorthand i guess its not cool to be 'internet savvy' anymore huh? :)

anyway i tried to read the whole thread and although its hard to get through the batman stuff and 'troll' stuff but the important thing is i counted the votes and here we go:

Sebenza - 2 votes
Strider - 2 votes

i thought that the sebenza was going to be the clear winner but now we have some strider votes. for so many posts thats not very many votes can i get more please? :(

I vote: Sebenza

It might not stand up to very hard use though.
What are you going to use it for?
What do you need it to do?

Dark ops is way more tactical then Strider and sebenza COMBINED. I know this by just looking at their advertising. "The finest tactical fighting knives in history" That should count for 5 votes right there.

The scales are made of T6160 aircraft grade hardened aluminum, not porous materials that cannot be decontaminated from bodily fluids or chemical munitions.

Quartz impregnated inserts provide extreme circumstances grip enhancement and are replaceable should decontamination be required.

See?

Hey Count Chockula I will buy you a beer if he is trolling. I think this one is on the up and up.

I don't think anyone who knows anything at all about knives would dare poke a nose in this forum and ask for "The most tactical knife" and expect to be taken seriously. I doubt he's trolling, too, I think he's just not thinking.

*Sits back with his popcorn*

See?

And Darkops is also offering a free hamster with every purchase until Christmas -for those of us that need to send assassins into difficult to reach places and can't afford the price of a Ninja.

My little battle-bot is called Dean and his tactical name is Imator. Hard Core!

I think you got qa/qc problems there, they're suppose to be Covert BLACk (tm), not brown and white! Better write the company for a replacement can of spray paint. Unless of course you got a "bro" hamster, from an non certified dealer.

DUDE, aincha ever heard of URBAN Camo?

Imator is that colour because he was soaked with blood during his last Black Plague Ops mission. Blood and chlorine does that to fur, I'm afraid.

As you can see, I was a cheapie and didn't choose a knife with blood grooves.

This is getting fun, I'm trying to decide if it is an insider or a troll.

Hope this goes to W&C soon, it should not be too much longer...

Hey AmericanBlade,

This thread has gone alittle off topic (its pretty funny though :D ) but if your serious....

I personally like the look of the Sebenza. There are several inlay choices you can get like Micarta or different woods. Then there is the choices between the Large or Small model, Classic or Regular model. I really dont see Sebenza's as "tactical" knives. They are seem more dressy or utilitarian than "tactical". That said, I hear they are tough knives.

Striders, on the other hand, look tactical IMHO and I have heard they are very tough also. If tactical looking is what you are going for then maybe the Strider is for you (there are different models, so you'll have to decide which one is the best for you)

IF you are just getting a knife because it looks tactical, I'd recommend looking at Spyderco or Benchmade (blue or black class) knives. They are way cheaper but still high quality knives and if you find you dont use your knife then your wife hasnt wasted $300-$400 bucks.

If you mean "tactical=tough" (which really isnt the case) then either Strider or CRK will be fine. I've heard the Customer Service at both places is good. But, again look at Benchmade and Spyderco knives. They both make very tough knives and the customer service of both is well regarded.

Finally, the choice is really up to you and what you like.... my best advice would be try and hold each knife if you can to see how it feels in your hand (some dont like the ergonomics of the Strider, some dont like the shape of the Sebenza). If you can't handle them in person, go to thier respective websites and look at the specs and pics and try to figureout which is best for you.

Now if this is not a serious post 've just wasted 5 minutes of my life and I can't get those 5 minutes back.....!!! ;) By the way NV, that hamster has some pretty sharp claws!!! :D

hahaha i just love those dark-ops knives i bet u could kill alot of people with those. they are tactical as hell...

By the way, which ever you choose, you can easily trade one for the other on the forums.

By the way, what are you going to use it for?
That might help you decide.
And help us help you decide.
And help you help us help you decide.
But that's just a suggestion.
I just wanted to help you help us help you help us help you decide.

Hmm,
Do any one of you, consider the Sebbie an Strider to be remotely in the same class or style of knives?

If so, i am missing it big time, well other then the frame lock bit of them and being folders.

And the,.."Which is more tactical?" Makes me think Dark Ops, is prob right up there alley if thier seriously asking that question.

Counting votes to make your decision on a knife purchase is also a bit questionable too, considering the prices involved with either knife chosen AmBlade.

Now, we have a thread as tall as a tree, a lynch mob, and did anyone remember to bring the chair this time? :D

Or is D. Imator going to take care of the dirty details after his morning chow an such?

:D

hmm reading on darkops site right now. the folders have the "RaptorLok" AND Dark Ops' secondary CrisisCross™ cross-bolt locking system. its killer...

"The Blade steel is made from Dark Ops proprietary CTV2 steel, an exotic and expensive Hybrid of Chromium, Cobalt, Tungsten, Vanadium, Molybdenum, in an alloy of surgical grade stainless steel. Thorough hardened to 58 HRC Rockwell with a secondary cryogenic cutting edge hardening, it is a steel that is basically indestructible!"

and look its indestructible...

"The finest tactical fighting knives in history"

I don't know if this is serious or not...but either way...I smell a mongoose...

(or perhaps a cousin of one...)

poor spelling, repeated use of the term tactical, all we need is a story about a fight at the local kwik-e-mart...
