I am having a hard time trying to decide which is the best sitcom on TV?
For a while there, I thought Frasier was among the top 5.

In the earlier years, Cheers was great. Nowadays, we have Just Shoot Me, King of Queens, Still Standing, Stark Raving Mad, etc.

What are the really good ones, according to statistics? :)

Best sitcom on television - ever: M.A.S.H.
Only sitcom in which the replacement actors were an improvement over the originals: M.A.S.H.
Sitcom with the most realistic sets: M.A.S.H.

Sitcom with the best "Series Final Episode" in the history of the universe: M.A.S.H.

(I still choke up when I see that last scene: the P.O.V. shot from the chopper taking off for the last time, and looking down to see that message spelled out with rocks)

The only sitcom I even occasionally watch is The Simpsons.

Oldies I enjoyed include M.A.S.H., Barney Miller, Frasier, Wings, and Sienfeld.

I concur here: MASH, Barney Miller, Wings. I haven't been able to find "Stark Raving Mad" lately. Too bad, it was an exceptional show.

Other shows I thoroughly enjoy: CSI, Nip/Tuck, The Shield, Picket Fences, and American Chopper. Oh, and Emeril Live.

My favorite sitcom was "Seinfeld". "Frasier" was pretty good too, but now its gone.

"Scrubs" is very well done, but that's about the only sitcom I watch these days.

The Honeymooners and All in the Family are hard to beat in my book, and M.A.S.H. is right there with 'em.

Cheers, Night Court, Barney Miller, Wings, News Radio all good as well.

Gilligan's Island rocked when I was a lad.

:D

Such a great sitcom, my all time favorite. I'm so glad that the American knock-off of it failed, it was horrible and would have just disgraced the original.

M.A.S.H. is my second favorite.

I like King of Queens...Even if Doug's wife is a bitch!...(At least she's a hottie bitch.:D).

Scrubs, The Bernie Mac Show and The Simpsons are my current favorites.

I always watch The Simpsons. I just never tire of the reruns. Another good one is The King of Queens and Everybody Loves Raymond.

Does anybody remember the Chris Elliot show, "Get a Life"? The one where he was a 35 year old paperboy? Side-splittingly funny, so naturally it was cancelled to make room for more Urkel and 3rd Rock from the Sun uber-crap.

In no particular order:

The Andy Griffith Show
The Dick Van Dyke Show
Seinfeld
M.A.S.H.
Frasier
