Which kind of knife guy are you?

Primarily a compulsive collector, with all-rounder, backyard tinkerer, and "warrior" (the outdoorsy type, but don't carry them for self defence because I don't want the knives I compulsively collect to get taken away) tendencies. At some point I'd like to transition into an art collector more.

At some point, when I have several spare hours, I'll need to update this picture...since I've given away a few and bought a whole bunch more in the last year and a half.
 
Hush. It's a secrete. I told a counselor that I collected knives. Guy treated me like some kind of serial killer after that. Brainwashed that knives can only be weapons. The chef's knives have probably been used in more killings than combat knives.

That's a fact. By far more people are killed with kitchen knives than with any other kind.
 
Mostly 1-4 with just a little 6, 8, and 9. I haven't watched him cut rope for hours in awhile. These videos were a nice surprise.
 
Yah, he obviously doesn’t realize that each knife guy (or gal) defines their own category, here…

Bargain hunter, sort of.
Patriot, sort of.

Recently got back into knife collecting in 2022 after a twenty-year hiatus. Compulsively bought a few Becker fixed blades, then Maserin folders, then Lionsteel folders. I’m pretty set on sticking with American and Italian brands. About half the extended family still live in Italy, so as a fake/wannabe Italian, there’s some mild patriotism going on. Bargain hunter because although I care about country of origin, I’m also a shameless bottom-feeder who looks for value.

It took me awhile to warm up to his humor, but he usually at least gets a smile out of me which is better than lots of folks…

Anyway this thread is kinda about one of his videos right? I think most of the folks here are just trying to have a little fun.

Me too!! That’s why I posted his “apology” video. Cause it’s kinda funny.

From your post above it sounds like you didn’t watch either of THESE videos so maybe that’s why you have questions… :)
