Which knife did you *use* first this year?

I used my small Sebenza to cut open a few boxes today at work. It also cut a couple of pieces of 1/2 rope for some tie downs. My Umfaan opened numerous envelopes this afternoon.

Well, The first knife I used was my sak super tinker. I used the bottle opener multiple times.

I used my MT LCC opening and setting up fireworks until the strike of midnight on New Year's Eve.

That's easy, my Buck Crosslock. I was out in the garage and needed a knife. It was easier to grab that out of my toolbox than dig through my pocket.

I used my Spyderco Native to open a bunch of boxes at work today. Yesterday I used it to open some salt bags.

Can't remember exactly the order, but I think it goes as follows:

SAK to cut a lime (after using the SAK bottle opener to open a Corona).

Leatherman Wave serrated blade to cut down a cardboard box.

BM940 to open a letter.

Regards,

David

It was my BM710. Used it to cut the french bread pizza I was eating while I watched the ball drop on New Years Eve.

I went shopping today for its EDC replacement, but nothing fits the bill so far. Oh, how I love that knife.

The first knife I used this year was my BM 720. I use it for something or another everyday. Today all I did with it was cut some packages open.

Used my Spyderco Calypso Jr. with black micarta handles to open some boxes. I use this knife everyday for something.

I used my Bob Dozier Professional Guides knife to cut some fishing line while out on the ice Sunday. You wouldn't believe how quickly it sliced through that 2-lb monofilament line.

Funny how a knife like that will draw a crowd when you're out on the ice. One guy I thought was going to stroke out that way he ogled that blade.
