which knife do you... fondle?

I like opening, closing & just holding on to my ZT 0777M390 around the house. It opens & closes so smoothly that its addicting. My girl also complains about it when I start to play with it. So glad to know I'm not the only one that does this. :D

Honestly, a junker knife.
I like to compare cheapo junk to my high-end knives. Always have, and im not quite sure why.

I am a light prepper and I prepped myself a fixed blade. I have no use for fixed blades in the center of Amsterdam and since it is illegal to carry "any sharp object" in almost every city in The Netherlands (aka Holland) since a year or two, I'm already risking enough EDC'ing a Military and a shitload of other "sharp objects". But I've prepped myself an ESEE-5P. And until I've prepped another fixed blade I keep it as a safe queen in my bug-out bag. That is the knife I can really just fondle. What an awesome brick that thing is. But I also still fondle my Millies though. Despite EDC'ing one since 2008. I think the Millie is one of the most gorgeous utility tools ever made. Where form follows function. Minimalistic design. Just stunning. I have a plain one, the Orange, the C/F M390 and the Fluted Ti. I think Spyderco's C/F is the most beautiful in the production business. The anodized Fluted Ti... no words....

Right now, Cold Steel Recon 1 XL.... gets me a lot of strange looks. (look at the psycho over there opening the folding pocket sword of Excalibur)

My small sebenza 21 with bloodwood inlays. My wife refers to it as my "Thunder" knife due to the fact that it's in my hand constantly as I watch my OKC Thunder play. The bloodwood inlays have developed a smooth and lustrous sheen as a result. Sometimes I just stare at them....I know.

Just remember, no matter which knife you're fondling, don't try and fondle yourself at the same time. Bad things can happen. Very bad.

Anything with a Spydie hole seems to fit the bill. I don't flick my knives but use my thumb in the hole to snap it open.

This one. It's the only knife to ever kick the PM2 and WH out of my pocket.

Benchmade 710 at the moment. Just received a few days ago stiff and disappointing. A little lube and some fondling changed everything though. Smooth and easy as Sunday morning.

I usually fondle knives that have more than one method to deploy the blade, whether it be two actual openers or multiple learned techniques. I find just a simple flipper can't entertain me for long at all...........lately, my two favourites have been a de-assiated mini barrage and a boker kwaiken non flipper. The mini barrage has some major fun factor with a thumb flick, second finger flick, or some wrist action with the axis lock. The boker kwaiken is a new found challenge for me, I have been hard at work mastering plucking that thumb disk out of a really strong detent, and then exposing the perfect amount of blade out the back to deploy it as a flipper(try it you'll be hooked!!) Along with the fun of this long unpractical deployment, my brain is also entertained trying to understand how a $100 knife can keep my attention and blades 10x the price never leave the case!
