I know I can't be the only one out there that keeps a few knifes within arms reach when I'm watching TV or on the net.

So fess up! :D

Which knives are your favorite easy chair "play with" knives.
Right now, mine are.......CSC Half Moon Trapper, GEC #56 Dogleg Jack, GEC #25 Barlow. ;)

Just whatever was in my pocket at the time. If I'm lounging around in pocketless pants, then I'll take whatever was my carry for the day and leave it on the end table next to the easy chair. I don't really play with them. It's just to save me having to walk back to my desk to get one if I need it for something.

Im expecting a new CSC knife soon so I have couple half moon trappers and my panama white barlow beside me.

This thread just reminded me that I don't own an easy chair. Or a functioning TV. :( :D

There's always room for a peanut! Or one of the other Case knives that I've had with me all day.

Whatever is in my pocket, I fiddle wih them constantly in the evening after work sitting on the couch.
This week and last week I have carried my case sodbuster jr. CV, no it has seen the bulk of my easy chair fondling lately.
Prior to that is was a case yeller CV trapper and the occasional Opinel.
I think my Boker Barlow will be seeing some more pocket time in the near future, so it changes depending on my wants at the time.

I took out cable tv cause it was making me stoopid.

Howeeeeva, my TC barlow sits under the computer monitor.

I find myself with my Opinel #8 in my pocket most evenings when cooking on the grill.

Good Gawd, no!!!!! Usually a big, not necessarily expensive Bowie. Or Spyderco. Or relatively huge CS folder, Master Hunter or SRK. Even my geezer of a CS Bushman, so I can pick it up and remember it for its long service and being beaten to crap on uncountable occasions...without a whimper or failure (and all for 12 bucks with, back then,a leather sheath). You'll never find me without a knife of some kind close enough to fondle. (I'm also among the TVless, so mine are near the computer or my reading chair. Can't enjoy a good James Bond book without a knife in my hand)

My latest acquisitions reside on my night stand for me to fondle until I am familiar with them.

I hope this is not duplicate. I always have a SAK Classic with phillips, a Squirt, and a 4Sevens mini MLR2...and today my new Schatt & Morgan Railsplitter.

I usually will have an Opinel #7 with me when relaxing at home now and again I switch it out for SAK Tinker.

I have a fixed blade next to me each night. It is usually a custom. It helps me to design my next custom project and I really enjoy fondling the knife and appreciating the talent it took to make it.

I don't have an easy chair, or spend much time on the TV. If I do, it's to spend the odd hour playing my X-Box. Most of my time not spent at work is spent doing chores and yard work, playing with my 2-1/2 year old son, completing an online Purchasing cert through CSU Dominguez Hills, spending time with my wife, surfing this and a couple other forums, or reading before I go to bed. I will fiddle with my Micra whilst on hold with suppliers, though...

Sigh. I'm bad about this. I keep too many at hand just because I like to handle them while watching TV or listening to the stereo. All of these are within reach of my chair without getting up. So, here we go...

  1. 5 modern folders & 2 modern fixed that shall go nameless.
  2. Mora Bushcraft Black Carbon Steel Knife
  3. Mora Light My Fire with black handles
  4. Un-X-LD Conductor in blood red jigged bone
  5. Un-X-LD Western Outlaw in natural stag (my favorite traditional)
  6. Leatherman Charge ALX in black & 1980's era Leatherman in original sheath
  7. JK Knives - The Tool with ironwood handles (my favorite fixed blade)
  8. Case Sod Buster & Sod Buster Jr. both in Jet Black Synthetic
  9. CS Cantiller/Canoe in Amber stag
  10. Tidioute Congress in River Blue Wave Jigged Bone
  11. Boker Congress in red bone
  12. CRKT Whittler in burned bone
  13. Buck 303 in rosewood
  14. Buck 301 in rosewood
  15. A Peanut in my pocket, deep red jigged bone

I usually have a couple smaller knives nearby the easy chair. A Case Peanut and a Victorinox Minichamp are today's chair knives.

As of late, a Case Swayback Jack
