Which knife loves the taste of your blood?

My RC-4 bit me over the weekend. Probably should have had stitches, but a band-aid is keeping it closed.

I keep a bottle of superglue with me at all times. Keeps the cuts closed, provides a little protection and they heal very fast. Weird, but works like magic.

I was taking pictures of my Kershaw Leek the day I bought it when it slipped from my hand and sliced me...

Nothing big at all, just a "get to know you" cut. :)

I have a Benchmade Mini-Barrage that was my EDC folder for a long time. It poked me good when I was opening some shipping cartons and of course, not paying attention.

I also have a Kershaw Whirlwind that cut the salesman who was showing it to me pretty good.

Heh, nothing like a little cut to break the ice. My Benchmade Kulgera nibbled my palm a bit when closing it one-handed, and I've got a bunch of them on my middle finger from not moving it out of the way on various sheath knives.

@TAGannon

Yeah, I never knew you could use real superglue. The doctor glued my last cut up with dermabond since it was right out on the tip and such a clean cut. I asked him if they sold it over the counter and he said that it was just sterilized superglue.

for my kitchen work i have usually been using this Cattaraugus kitchen knife's brother http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320620063526&ssPageName=ADME:B:EOIBSA:US:1123
very sharpenable. just a bare touch brings red stuff. i did just win the one from ebay! old school, handles/looks are not the best, but the one i have cuts like a dream. got my daughter a few times as well. i have many good quality knives but yet the catt. is the one that bites the most, by far.

Imma need to keep some super glue around.... Would have been helpful last night... I've always used bandaids to keep things closed...

I've all the standard small cuts that come with being a knife enthusiast. My ESEE cut me a week ago. Barely touched my hand but still drew blood. The worst was when we were having a potato peeling contest at my families house for thanksgiving a few years ago. Lets just say it was really hard to find the piece of index finger that looked like a potato peel. :barf:

i find that i find myself getting cut the day i get the knife. seriously i have never cut myself with a knife, unless it was the very day i got the knife. my izula seemed happier than me than my esee-4, which nearly took off my thumb ( sneezed while fondling )

I typically always have a small tube in my kits. I'll take a look at the cut tonight, if it still wants to open I'll be using the superglue.

Thankfully this cut left a flap of skin that will take to the superglue quite nicely.

Worst cut ever was from an Emerson waved Horseman - first time I tried the wave I pulled the knife at a weird angle and sliced my finger. It sucked.

Not my blood but a buddy of mine was playing with my four (when I wasn't there) and he managed to cut himself pretty bad. Took 8 stitches to get his finger right, I think he learned a valuable lesson that day; I keep my knives sharp : )

I got bit by my Izula pretty good when it popped out of it's sheath and sliced my thumb. It did not feel good at all. I'd have to say I've seen some pretty nasty bites posted up on here before!

I had my ESEE 4 for about 5 months and was never bit once. I am a hard user and was quite impressed. Then I got cocky and bought an ESEE 3 and a custom kydex sheath. First draw from the sheath provided me with that few seconds of "Did I just...NO. I couldn't have..Wait for it...Yes I did just slice the crap out of my index finger."

Right to the bone. Ever since that day I make sure my PSK is with me !!

I have few cuts from ESEE-4 , nothing big .
award for most Blood thirsty knife goes to my BM806 , first day I got it I was playing with it , it fell ,while I was trying to catch it stabbed my finger , dropped it it again and on the way down it cuts my leg :D , this is good sign I think he likes me .

Today I told my friend that my 4 is finally mine because it bit me... I'm about to gift him an izula wonder how long before they bond :-?

God what a mental picture this conjurs up (but I won't ask) . . .:)
Styx, (great user name by the way) I thought I was the only one who had a toe injury from a knife. I watched one of our steak knives slip out of my hands at the sink & go in directly behind my big toenail.
It seemed like it took 5 minutes for that knife to fall before it hit my toe, & it was like a dream and I could not move my damn foot out of the way. Luckly, only a puncture wound, no stitches, but oh did it
hurt the next 3 days . . . never offer to help with the dishes unless you have proper clothing & boots on . . . :)
Be safe.

That actually makes sense. I hit my leg on the bed and as i was grabbing it I let go of the knife and it fell straight across my toe. Only negative thing of having a sharp knife on you before the morning coffee

every knife i have has bitten me at least once, any more i do it the day i get them, a small cut just to get it over with so i dont have any big nasty bites, funny part is it has worked for the last 4 knives i got, havnt had ne of them bite me hard enough to draw blood just a few lil nibbles

lol im really ashamed of this one but here it is,one day i went and bought a cheapy gerber paraframe and i was out fuckin('scuse my language) round with it and i was cutting food and just general STUPIDNESS well it was SCALPEL sharp and i was cutting up food for a little one and somehow my left pointer got in the way... i ended up cutting the skin off of one side of my finger from the top knuckle up INCLUDING HALF OF MY NAIL the knife went in and bounced off the bone and went back out left a big ol chunk of skin missing man that thing took about a month to close and heal i still dont have feeling in my finger tip, my nail grows in funny, the tip of my finger is on a funny angle and theres fingerprint missing on the side, yea it was that bad......... wish i had pics to post to show yall how yummy it was if i find some ill post em:barf:
