Which knife loves the taste of your blood?

First night home with Izula, I got bit while wrapping the handle. Didn't notice it when it happened, but rather a minute later when I seen the blood. Yea I know this is a typical newbie mistake.

My HEST got me really good. It's the dang rear sharpened point by the wire break. It's nibbled on the corner of quite a few pockets too. It's my most used ESEE but I truly loathe that sharpened bit.

my junglas bit me on a couple fingers a few weeks ago after a good sharpening. served me right for watchin tv instead of the blade. guess she wanted ALL of my attention. Sorry i dont have a pict. would have been a good one. debated for about 1/2hr about stitches but emergency lines are just too busy for my patience

spent the afternoon today in the er, was wrapping a izulla for my daughters friend. pulled to hard on the final knot and it popped out of the sheath and through my ring finger and middle finger. severed the artery in the middle finger and the nerve, probably will have to have surgery to restore feeling in that finger. lots of stiches i was too busy bleeding and trying not to pass out for pics. my youngest daughter had to drive me in to the hospital she was scared but took care of me im proud of her.

take it easy

for me no knife is as thirsty as a leatherman wave. That thing is half vampire i swear. Everytime it comes out it seems to make me bleed.

Cricket, I almost did that when I was wraping my izula, luckily I got the "safe side" Get well soon!!!
Savage, I'm with you on waved knives, we don't get along...

ha, my junglas tasted a bit this evening, seasoned with a hint of spiced rum... all my knives bite me at least once it seems.

When a knife draws blood, its saying "Lets be blood brothers" - its that simple, and that is why I have never sold a knife that has bitten me, be it a scratch or a cut because once you accept that, you never get bitten again with that knife.

Hence my 'Band of Brothers' has steadily grown over the years into an extended family.

Got bit when I was modding my CS Recon Tanto, just finnished putting a nice scandi grind on it and was sanding of the last bits of coating. (On the living-room table mind you, LOL...) The new (and insanely sharp) edge suddenly went through the sanding paper. Almost took my fingertip clean off.
My wife looked at me, and asked: "What happened?" I said: "Nothing hun.... I just thought I cut myself...:foot:" Blood gushing out inside my sweather-arm, LOL...
"Just going to the bathroom hun..."
Good thing about a really sharp knife, is that the cuts heal well, and my blood-brother Recon mod is still in my sig line, LOL:D:cool:

Besides my SAK which loves to nibble the fingers, this is the last one to get me. Four stitches.

My Izula bit me again... no pics because it's pressure wrapped at the moment.

I was wrapping the handle when it popped out of the sheath. :(

Top of index finger to the bone, you know that vein that runs along the top of your finger? that sucker likes to bleed!

I agree with Falcor. After a knife bites you good he doesn't ever cut you again... just nibbles :). My Izula bit me pretty good towards my wrist. Also my Benchmade Griptilian 551SBK and my 710SBKD2. But my Leatherman Skeletool seems to really love nibbling
