Which knife that you own came with the sharpest blade?

Terry Primos. I need to get one of this bigger knives. The El Camino I had was beautiful, wicked sharp, but just too small for me.
Production, the Benchmade Skirmish I bought came pretty dang sharp. I have a David Boye dendritic knife that is very sharp. Not sure if it's custom or "mid tech" or production, but it's frightening. It came with a brass lined sheath for that reason.

Oddly enough, an old Buck Bucklite that I bought for 25 bucks :) This was oh.. 10 years ago??? Before they started making the ones that look like the rubber handled proteges, it was sort of like a plastic handled version of the titanium bucks.

I had one of those too, and it was quite sharp. It took a really good edge with just a little attention from a diamond rod.

I once impressed a friend (in 1989 or 90 or so) with mine. He was forging his own large blades, and enjoyed testing them by cutting the ol' one inch hanging manila rope. He did it in front of me with about a ten inch blade he'd recently made.

Then I took out my Bucklite (same blade as the model 112) and did exactly the same thing. He and his buddy were quite surprised that such a short blade could do it. Part of it was that I have quick hands and good technique, but it was still impressive for a three inch factory blade made of 425M steel.

I wish I knew where that knife was today!

I bought one of those with a green handle back about 12 years or so, havent seen any lately, maybe they were discontinued. Bought it at Grand Forks air base for $17 Bucks, tax exempt- it was damn sharp, my first Buck.

My sharpest knife (edge) out of the box would have to be my mercworx Shiva. Both sides are nasty sharp. I have a Chris Reeve Project II and an RJ Martin Manta Ray that are tied for a very close second.

My sharpest knife (point) out of the box is definately my RJ Martin Karambit. A needle of s30v.

My Busse Active Duty, without a doubt. It had been finished up on a strop.

The night that it arrived I pulled it out of the leather sheath, and it cut straight through the leather sheath and my coat. Like a hot knife through butter.

I $hit you not.

If I had been holding the sheath a different way I would have seriously cut four fingers.

Oh, that's a really easy one. I've had one blade that truly blows everything else I've even seen away. Nothing even comes close.

It's my Dovo straight razor. ;-)

After that, it'd be a tie between my Spyderco Calypso Jr. and a Beretta Airlight that I picked up a while back. Both came extremely, sharp, if not quite face-shaving sharp. ;-)

Well, of the knives I've owned in the past I'd have to say both my CRK Aviator and Project One came with amazing edges. Of my current knives it's a tie between my Blackjack Anaconda II Bowie and Gerber LMF II.

Lagarto

I'm going to have a tie between my Umfaan, BG42 Sebby and my 110's. Next would be my Delica and Mini Grip.
I've only had one 110 that came with less than ultimate edge. (the grind looked like someone had a bad day) Easily fixed.

Traditionally, Spydercos and Kershaws have always had the sharpest blades out of the box, in my experience. Until I got a DKD Destiny auto. Impossibly sharp!

The sharpest bladed knife I've got, that was "Razor" sharp was(and still is)a 2002 Bulldog in Oyster Shell Celluloid. This knife came to me factory Sharp(as in
"Razor Sharp")!!!

Blademan44.
