Which knives/styles do you plain dislike? For no real reason, rubs ya wrong, design, steel, handle, blade-shapes, brands. Judgement-free opinions.

I can’t stand decorations on a knife, especially a knife that’s already useless as a knife in the first place ..

Example: strider SMF complete with 18 ounces of starlingear zombie head beads on a leather thong. The most irritating part is that the lanyard hole of a strider isn’t even compatible with the blade length ( 4 inch blade with a 2.75 ish cutting edge ).

Result is a butt ugly piece of tactical hipster bs used for Instagram pics on tactical hankie next to a craft beer.

No better way to throw a few thousand dollars away 😂

I forgot to add: anything with an axis lock. The possibility of having to replace a broken spring is ridiculous to me. Yes, I know you had your Bugout for 5 years and you flip it every night while watching TV and you never had a problem. I'll take a Triad lock or even a basic backlock over an axis lock any day.
 
As unpopular as it may be in these parts, I’m just not a fan of Spyderco Knives. I’ve tried, and I want to like them but I just can’t.
Not a fan of Bowie shaped blades. They just dont do “it“ for me
Gotten to a point where I don’t hardly like thumbstuds anymore. other easier and faster ways to open a folder IMO.

Bark River knives
There were some great knife makers from that area of Michigan.
And then........

What Marbles knives have become.
If nothing else, the legacy of Webster Marble deserves better than cheap imports with his name.

Tried some things from the Byrd line, because of the more meaty blades, and couldn't get over the thumb ramp. Good knives, good ergos up to that point, just not for me.

The other one isn't even a "dislike". I understand what Chris and Tim are trying to do. They've tried to live up to Antoine de Saint-Exupery's maxim, and I respect them for it. I've lost interest in Titanium framelocks with drop points and thumb ramps, at any price point, and while the Sebenza and it's kin are undoubtedly more than the sum of their parts, I'm not excited enough by the parts, to pay the required sum.

Did I ever tell you about the time I was cutting watermelon into chunks on a paper plate with a brand new spyderco P3LW and when I moved the plate off my leg there were little drops of blood everywhere?

Beads on anything! Unless they're pearl and on a good looking woman's neck.

Non “knife”, but I have to add - for sale adds in the EXCHANGE that read like this…..

I have a nib Benchco Spydermade. It is NEW IN BOX! Only carried around the house and cut tape and used to dig out my ingrown toenail, but new in box!!….. trade value is 210% what I paid for it last week!! Most awesome knife ever -just not for me.

You must be 18 to purchase. Born on an odd Tuesday. Your house has to face east. You must be Catholic and like Janet Jackson.
All sales are final. And I won’t text you. I’ll ship it in a manila envelope with no padding and a stamp 2 weeks later.
