Is that better or worse than Bette Davis eyes?

My eyes are probably sharp enough to sift through some random crap. But I'd like to see fine details without busting out the lenses... As to the OP's question, I lost almost all interest in industrial brands, so I'm not a contender in your umpteenth poll.

Chris Reeve for me but we need a new menu I really like a double whopper with cheese
Was Chris Reeve on the poll?

But seriously, one of the ways you lose accuracy on a poll like this is having missed responses from people not answering because their preferred brand(s) are not an option. The other is by people being told to answer even though their most preferred brand(s) are not options, giving false data to other more popular response choices.

I mean, I'd give my one vote to Spyderco since my most preferred brand isn't on there, probably like a lot of people. All of us doing that could vastly inflate the value Spyderco sees in the data. It's an exercise meant to give you flaws if you don't do it right.

If you have an other, at least people who want to vote for their true preferred brand, you could get all that noise out of the responses.

I already told you the forum limits the poll options to 10. Are you done yet, or are you going to keep trolling?

Yeah but you included Emerson and CRKT over Kizer and Cold Steel.

Nobody's favorite manufacturer, if they have examples of each, will be CRKT. Emerson has some nice vanilla designs but they aren't really a 'manufacturer' in the sense that Kizer and Cold Steel are. They don't have the market presence to be considered a peer of, well, any of the other businesses on your list. They're the only one on the list that give me a sense that it might be a glorified garage workshop playing at being a production facility.

I picked WE, I've never handled a Chris Reeve but I have a fair idea what they're about and they seem awesome. But I like WE's flair for the A E S TH E T I C along with their general business decisions. They have done a great job of refining their offerings without wholly abandoning their early tendency to show off their manufacturing chops with tons of milling and complicated textures. I think WE and Kizer have probably made more of an impact on the knife world than any other pair of companies in the past twenty years. They're not revolutionizing locking mechanisms or trailblazing truly alien design styles or anything, but they have established themselves in a way that has been great for all of us.

It's a biased poll. For example, from https://surveytown.com/10-examples-of-biased-survey-questions/:

":
#7: Prefer Not to Answer
It’s a good idea to always include “prefer not to answer” in your answer choices if at all possible. Many people will drop-out of a survey if they are uncomfortable with a particular question.

#8: Include All Possible Answers
Not including all possible answers also creates bias. If you are unsure of all the options, you can always add “other” as a choice.
:"

Most prominently for me, Buck and Hinderer are missing, plus an "Other" option. And yes, there are only 10 choices possible, but grouping could have solved that, for a first round anyways.

Or they could just not participate.

No, the forum limits polling to 10 choices. I already explained this.

This isn’t a research project conducted by social scientists. It’s a simple survey out of curiosity. Don’t make this into something it isn’t. If you can do better, go create your own.
