Which of your slippies gets the most use?

Probably my Queen D-2 Congress or My old Queen Winterbottom Bone Serpentine Jack.:D

For about the past month and a half, I have only been carrying a case small Texas jack. Joe

I carry a Camillus demo knife with all of my folders, from Sebenzas and Striders, to Benchmades and Spydercos. Picked up a Kutmaster stockman, and I just flat out love this knife. Old carbon steel blades, black delrin handles, but great walk and talk, and super sharp.

For the past several months, I have been carrying an old Case medium jack, 6232. I've also been carrying a Vic Executive. Between the two of those, I've got most things covered, though I have carried a lot of different knives in addition to them, or on odd days when I just wanted a change. I wasn't looking for a knife for me when I bought them, I just seemed to find things that really work, and aren't obnoxiously large.

Alox Rancher and Case Whittler, carry is confortable, and practical - even on suit days (which today is).

A little while ago I bought a Queen gunstock. It seems to get carried a lot lately. Was using it yesterday to help my son build his first black powder rifle. A Traditions .50 cal Kentucky rifle. We had to remove a little material to fit the lock assembly.

I rotate through EDC, but recently it has been...

A stockman of some sort, usually a Case or a Buck 4in. closed and slightly modified.

My Queen Medium Stockman got moved out for the Rams Horn Cannitler from Canal St.--Canal St stuff is spectacular!

All of them! I rotate every three to four days in order. Open the knife drawer(wood toolchest), drop my current knife in the empty spot and grab the one directly to the right. Some knives get called in for special duty, but I usually just use whatever happens to be in my pocket. Probably a bit anal for some, but it works for me.

I have about 10 Canoes from both Queen and Case that I pick from in the morning.

augustus88: that a great collection, what's that knife 3rd in from the right, with the white or Ivory sides?

Thanks,

Scott

Thanks!
That's the 2007 bladeforums.com traditional forum knife. It's a Canal Street Cutlery 3-blade Cannitler in D2 steel with mastadon ivory scales. I'm the proud owner and USER of #7 of 57 made.

Here is a link with better photos of the forum knife. http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=521400&highlight=2007+forum

augustus88: thanks for the info, you should be proud to own a knife like that.

I'm mostly a stockman guy, but for the past couple of weeks I've been using my Case red bone CV Slimline Trapper. I LOVE this knife, it's light but has a good blade length and looks really nice.

Since I always carry a SAK, I have a smaller blade if I need one. But so far the single bladed trapper has worked really well.

Thought about getting one myself. I know the feel good in the hand.

I mainly use a Queen small stockman and a Queen Utility (which is like a Case slimline trapper)
I also really like the weight and length of the utility and use it alot for food, and for general cutting the smaller blades of a small stockman.

The Queen Utility is in Maple D2 and the same price as a Case Red bone CV
D2 holds wicked sharp, and is almost stainless, and has no after taste on food like CV does.
I wipe it down with water and dry it after cutting all sorts of acidic food, and has no patina

I just got a Queen Muskrat in Cocobolo, and it is seeing pocket time in place of the Utility. The blades are shorter than the utiity, about the same size as a dogleg jack.
But it is 4" like the utility.
I like those cranked blades!
