Which Opinel size do you prefer?

My most used Opinel these days is my old number 5. Can't remember the last time I carried my number 8. The number 5 is so light weight it rides in a shirt pocket of my Magellan fishing shirts that are a 9 to 10 months of the year wear down here.

There's something liberating about a small friction folder. I lost my #4, but it was a favorite candidate for my watch pocket.
(there's a replacement waiting for me back home as I write, which I'll be very happy to meet.)
I won't be building a house with it, but it will do a lot of what I need.

You're last line says it all. No, you won't build a house with one, nor a cabin in the great North Woods. BUT...it will do 99% of what you need out of a pocket knife. In real world day to life, how often do you need much knife? How many of our fellow citizens don't even bother to carry any knife at all these days in the early 21st century? I haven't seen any pile of bodies of those who perished because they didn't have a knife. Blasphemy for a knife forum, but there is is.

A good deal of times these days, my classic is my sole EDC. My number 5 Opinel or Christy knife is gravy on the taters. So far, I'm still here.
