Which retailer should I buy from?

I'm in the process of determining which 2 or 3 knives I will buy next. I'm in the Spyderco/Benchmade/Emerson phase right now, and I'm new to the addiction so I have no experience with any of the online merchants yet.

Who do you like, and why?

I don't need to know who you don't like.

I've been all over Knifecenter and Knifeworks so far, looking at specs and prices. Are they the gold standard, or am I missing someone.......?

I'm in sales, so I can appreciate how hard it is to satisfy customers, and I'm not opposed to spending a bit more than the cheapest retail prices available, but there needs to be a tangible benefit to justify it. If someone's service is that stellar, I would probably pay $10 more for a knife, but they better hand deliver it if they want $30 more.:D

Thanks.

Welcome to Bladeforums BeerGuy. The best advice anyone can possibly give you is to browse the Good, Bad, & the Ugly thread. This subforum is a compilation of the best, worst, and absolute worst stores, sellers, and other experiences. Excellent resource. When in doubt order from www.1sks.com ;)

Welcome to BF, BG!

A couple of my favorites include Mike at New Graham Knives and Roger at KnifeWorks. But I do buy a lot of CRK's, so I also frequent Only Fine Knives, the brothers at Knife Art, the good old boys at Peas And Corn, and, of course, Neil at True North Knives.

For the brands that you mentioned Knifecenter and Knifeworks are as good as they come, both have fast shipping on in stock items and both have someone live to answer your call and questions during reg business hrs., enjoy your new toys!
