Which SAK/Multi in your collection sees the most use?

I've had a Black Classic on my keychain ever since I was old enough to drive. Every few years, if finally starts to show my abuse and I go spring $10 for a new one. Of all my knifes, it's the one that gets used the most.

An Alox Cadet II or Soldier most often, followed by a Super Tinker or Compact if I'm feeling the need for scissors.

I just bought my first one 2 weeks ago. I bought the Tinker for $17. I carry it in my pocket, and use it more than my SwissTool. I can't believe how sharp it is! I plan on buying a SwissChamp next.

My knife collection is getting bigger. I'm now up to 3 knives.

Work use: vic scientist and vic cowboy (due to the large, locking blade)
home: OHT
always: vic rambler

My vic spirit is carried only when I'm farming, but I love it. I need to get my KL91 into the rotation. But where!?! I'm running out of pockets!

During the week or when I'm "dressed-up" it's the Wenger EVO 16 because of its compact size combined with its tool selections.

At home I lean towards the Vic Huntsman.

At the office I used to EDC-ed the explorer, now I prefer minimalist style, the tinker, and thanks to Vincent, it is now very sharp!!

These are my EDC along with a Chris Reeves Mnandi!

Juice S2. Has what is for me the "good stuff" that actually gets used (blade, real 3D phillips, 3 flat screwdrivers, pliers, scissors) without the tools I never use (awl, hook, etc.). Small enough that I don't notice it in my left front pocket along with a Fenix L1P light and a Sharpie.

Kodiak,
Any chane of getting the names of the two models you have pictured? They both look like great for EDC.

At least one of them, the Vic, is a custom job. I'm not sure about the Wenger, since I don't know Wengers very well.

Here's a photo of my (similar) custom Vic SAK, which I call a "Senior Mechanic"!

I always carry a swiss tool in ACUs or BDUs. Victorinox Soldier in class As, suits and civilians. Sometimes the Huntsman Plus. Keep a Spartan lite in the glove box.

Keep a Bantam on my desk at all times.

Wenger Traveller which I have had for years. I like the locking blade and th range of tools.

The vic is a custom and the wenger is called a mini tool chest I think. It's a great little knife!

Every day I carry a Leatherman Micra and Victorinox Classic in my waist pack. On my belt is usually a Leatherman Blast, and in a pocket is either a Victorinox Tinker or Alox Pioneer/Soldier.

I use the Classic a lot, I have use for every feature at some time or other. I also use the Micra and Tinker/Pioneer quite often. The SAKs get actual use nearly every single day. I like the ruggedness of the multi-tools, but if I can accomplish the same job with an SAK I'll likely pull that out first...they're faster to deploy and put away.

I am looking at a Swisstool X, however. I really like my Blast, and it's comfortable to carry and good quality, but my love for Victorinox products, plus the fact the X looks like it has some design features that are a step-up from my original Swisstool, may make it take the place of my Blast on the belt!:D Just wish Victorinox had a sheath for horizontal carry.

work: classic or rambler
after work: bantam or pocket pal + usually a classic or rambler
weekends: bantam, pocket pal or recruit + usually a classic or rambler

seems like I almost always have a classic or a rambler on me

Hi All,

In close to EDC (can't do carry-on with it), the Huntsman has been my choice for almost 50 years. Wore out/broke two - on my third now.

Re pliers tools, the Leatherman PST is going to be be outted by either the Charge Ti or the XTi soon.

Best - Joe
