Which SAK/multitool?

One Hand Trekker w/ a pocket clip is my EDC in the woods a SOG Multi and a RD7 comes with. the other 90% of the time its paired with a BM Ascent or Manix.

I prefer a leatherman. I've had nearly everything. Vic's are of a little better quality, but they don't offer tools that are as functional and they have some catching up to do in other places with leatherman. My charge is light and has a pocket clip. Can't beat it. I have no use for tweezers usually so that doesn't bother me.

If you can stand the size & weight, go with the Leatherman Core. Be warned: it's a brute! My SAK is the timeless Camper. Had it since early 90s. Staple of my EDC rotation.

I carry a SAK Executive every day. The baby knife and scissors are fan-freakin-tastic.

Outdoor? Outrider. I know a lot love the Rucksack, but I gotta have my scissors. I liked the hercules but that is one thick SAK! At that rate I'd trade it for the spirit and get full sized pliers.

My left front pocket gets a SAK explorer with a fire steel attached and right side front belt gets a horizontal sheathed Swiss tool. I believe that gives me all the swiss tool options I want and none I don't(no hook,no fish scaler e.g.). That's everyday, indoors and out

I carry a Vic Camper SAK. When I'm fishing, I carry a Sog Powerlock, mostly for the pliers- though I've used the other tools too- I lost one using the saw to cut some underwater root growth to get a fish out that I caught... Haveing the file could be nice for using a mag bar.

Victorinox Super Tinker
Vic Swiss Spirit

cant go wrong with these two,,,i edc all the time,,

My big outdoor SAK is the Outrider. I generally prefer a multitool for edc though, an my favorite is the Vic Spirit (with serration-ectomy).

For work edc (dress pants) I have been carrying a Case peanut in my pocket with a multiool in my bag. I looking into also getting a small SAK like the Mini Champ or Compact for dress pants carry.

If you can stand the size & weight, go with the Leatherman Core.
That's a big "if". Those things are huge. I currently have a Surge. It's nice and I like the large pliers, large locking blades and large tools, but it's really too big. Much too big for a pocket, even a coat pocket. It must be carried in a sheath on a belt.
