Which shipping method do you guys prefer for your knives to come?

USPS Priority is always my first choice and preference. UPS would be distant second. Would definitely prefer not FedEx. I received my knife I purchased from you a few months back very fast, and it was appreciated.

Knife Works knows how to ship a knife. Comes quicker than other on line stores from the east to Colorado at least. They are real knife people so they seem to care. Packaging is always secure. I think they just ship USPS but not the cheapest postage that USPS has which I believe is called TRTLBCK.

Amazon is a crap shoot; they can do a good job but sometimes the knife comes out of the box in transit and bounces around in the bubble wrap bag, I have even heard of it being lost out of the bubble envelope. Or else they tape the box closed and ruin the box for collecting . . . and they can send it the USPS Turtle Back taking a week or more. I have received the wrong knife at least once. These can be non knife people handling this . . . they don't understand there is an addict at the other end of the chain (you and I) and that it has to arrive quick and in collectable / mint condition. I will say I just had a really pleasing transaction with an Amazon vendor called "My Knife Store". They made my month. Very pleased with a situation that could have been disappointing and frustrating. They did just what they said they would do plus went out of their way for me. It was a situation where the old version of the knife was great and the new version was awful, in my opinion . . .
They shipped me two of the old version and they came safe and sound. YMMV

I would say that if it was a knife that was important, valuable / irreplaceable that I would definitely go FedEx and insure it for replacement value.

The other thing that sucks about Amazon is that depending on who you buy from, when it's "shipped from & fulfilled by Amazon," they don't always give you an option to choose the method and/or speed of shipping you want. I've had it offer "standard" and "expedited" with no specific carrier or transit time. So it becomes a guessing game as to what method they will use. In those cases I have always opted for a different seller.

That's for non-knife goods. I've never bought any knives from Amazon and I don't think I personally ever will. Not unless it's a seller storefront that's been vetted by people I know, or a favorite dealer of mine happens to have a store setup on Amazon's marketplace and does his own shipping, etc... That's different.

I've just heard too many horror stories of crappy packaging like you mentioned, stolen money, cheap knockoffs being sold in place of real brands, and fraud. There's plenty of reputable authorized dealers to choose from, like Whitty, who offer awesome and personalized customer service.

USPS, without a doubt. Then UPS. Last would be FEDEX. The fedex here is horrific. Just last week I had a neighbors package delivered to my house by mistake. Not the first time and won't be the last. Imagine paying for next day delivery and not having the damn thing go to the right address.

Well i ship just about every day with my little business
Usps gives us the best rate and anything if value we just add insurance and it has worked well
I also use UPS and Fedex too
We always ask for signature on any high dollar items

I have had very few packages go missing from any of the services. USPS is very reliable here, except when my regular post man is on vacation. The sub will sometimes deliver to a number that is similar to ours down the road and vice versa. They are friends and we often exchange errant packages. still 99.5% spot on

Fed ex is fine here

UPS as well, although my delivery guy does not like dogs and packages get flung and sometimes damaged

Prefer USPS

If it fits..

every time..

Ever since FedEx and UPS went to Dimensional Weight rather than actual weight its a ripoff IMO to ship smaller items thru either one..corporate greed.

Maybe drank a little bit too much of that Pink F..K lol Ash warned you about it!)

How did you know!:D Lol, and what I was talking about here, point? haven't the slightest. Sorry folks. Believe I'm getting a bit of the vinter depression lately. It's -5 right now, and I don't like it.:grumpy: Been reliant on drink for warmth/cheer.

Btw you have some of the best knives have seen on this site 7 of 9. 👍Like reading your posts, glad to have you here.

Sorry for getting wierd whitty, usps is only company I'll ever ship with(unless have to ship with another), shipped THOUSANDS of packages with them and they've never failed me, and believe they ship cheapest.

Ok, the speed of that response has hit my paranoia nerve like a sledge hammer, :D Not even gonna ask how you did it, just gonna accept it.:D

Lol sorrrryyy... honestly I didn't see the timestamp on your message either I just saw it and responded. I think it was fate. Just happened to come in right after you posted it.

I would add UPS/FedEx SmartPost between pony express and leper post.

That Smartpost/SurePost crap really defeats the whole point of using one of those carriers. I hate when they spring that on me without telling me. It saves them money so they don't care and it lets USPS do the delivery work.

I have a PO Box, so if I use UPS or FedEx it's because I want the package at my door. If I wanted to go to the PO I would use Priority Mail. They should get rid of that Smartpost.

USPS priority is best for my area and in an apartment. Fed ex and UPS are fairly hit or miss on notification.
