Which shop for the best international shipping value?

I know of many shops with incredible values but it is always the international shipping that kills.

May I ask (especially those non-US) where do you get your knives?

New Graham has very reasonble prices and shipping.

Service is great, and if you are lucky you get the bandages free. Always handy when you are getting used to your new toy!

I got them from knifeworks. The people there are very helpful towards my needs. Very flexible about payment method (Western Union works best for me). They ship a little slow though (2-3 days delay after receiving the payment), but it's no problem for me.

I have purchased knives from many US suppliers, both private and retail.

Many times the posted shipping cost is based on premium shipping options (fast with enhanced tracking). I find if you contact them, directly or via e-mail, they are often willing to provide lower cost shipping choices.

Keep in mind you lose some of the benefits.

Just last week I purchased a Kershaw Nakamura. The shipping cost with USPS was posted as $27.00 usd to Canada. I contacted the vendor and was quoted $8.00 usd shipping.

I opted for the low cost option. Tracking is basic, and I will be waiting 10-15 business days for delivery, but the cost was reasonable.

Greetings and Welcome to Bladeforums.......:)
I was wondering were you are located and what knives you were looking to buy?

I have purchased very successfully from:
Knifeworks
Collectors Knives
Busse
Busse Company Store

I have also purchased a number of knives from fellow forum members, both private sales and direct from makers. Each time I do so I include the USPS website address for South Africa and I nominate the service I would like the seller to use.

That way the shipping costs are all up front and transparent.

My advice is always buy insurance if it is available........

Let us know how you go...........
