Which small Busse(kin) for around my hot dog cart?

Although it's more than your original $150 limit , I would also say that your best bet would be the Busse Basic 4 LE . Weather you get the thin one or the thick one , they would both slice very well and be able to handle the ice choping easily . As someone else mentioned there are usually some for sale on the exchange here or on the big online auction site .

HOLD MY BEER AND WATCH THIS !

Probably something large to get that cart on and off the flatbed, EMT. ROTFL!!!!

WHERE ARE THE PICTURES, DUDE!!!!!!????

You totally need a wiener dog!

Also, what kind of hotdogs don't have pork?!? That sounds like a bigger problem than your choice in knives :D

My first choice would likely be a Fat Game Warden - short, stout (.27"), has a penetrator tip for the icepick duties, and a great handle to keep it all under control...

Probably a bit out of the budget tho...

So I've now contacted Garth and Pokey asking what small blanks they have. I'm guessing they are busier than elves at the North Pole on Christmas eve right about now because I haven't heard back yet. We'll see what they say. In the mean time, I'm not allowed to start a thread on the exchange and I can't post a request in my signature. So if anyone has any small INFI blades in my price range, please let me know. Thanks!

You are allowed to post a WTB. You just can't see anyone else's posts over there as a non-paying member. But you can post and see your own.

Wait....what?!? You mean I can't see other WTB threads? If so, ok. That would be why I didn't notice any before.

But thanks for the info. Maybe I'll give it a shot.

Hot diggity dog!
And you can slice those links coming and going...

Still, though not exactly small, for busting up ice, I'd go War Dog.

Get a RS and use some cooking oil on it. That will protect it aginst rust and the RS is one tough little knife.

I think I'll wrap the handle for added grip, but I like the design as it has a pronounced/functional hilt that will prevent my hand from sliding forward on the blade.

As far as the construction...will ice destroy this blade?

Thanks

At 3/16" thick, it should be just fine for stabbing ice chunks.

Actually the mudd puppy would be ideal and close to your price range. Plus it's a very stout 3 inch and has Res-c mudder's. And very rust resistant.

There is a DC Dumpster Mutt over on the exchange that is within your price range. The DC finish would require some extra care to avoid rust of course.
