Which Spike Should I get?

I have made up my mind to get a cold steel spike. Please spare me the 'cold steel sux' comments- Because I have already made the decision. Unless there is a different fixed blade knife which you think is much better (for the same price), please dont try to change my mind.

There is a-

Scottish spike- (heck no)

Spike Tanto- (prolly not)

Talon spike- (heck no)

Tokyo spike- (maybe...)

Bowie spike- (also, quite nice...)

'The spike' Spike- (maybe...)

Scimitar Spike- (again, heck no.)

So basically, It is between the Tokyo, the bowie, and the standard.

What I am looking for is an easy to sharpen, general purpose knife to be used for anything from cutting up raw chicken, to opening boxes. I do not want it to be too 'flashy' or 'evil' looking, Just Pure function.

EDIT- I am also considering scandinavian knives-

Look guys... I only want to spend $30- I am not in the market for some $500 'Strider Tacti-cool 9000'... I just want a simple beater knife.

I am not really looking for a folder- but thanks for the Reccomendation. What really attracted me to the spike was the simple design, and the zero edge. Are there any others in that price range that you would reccomend?

A $30 beater... there are plenty of great options, like the Spyderco/Byrd Catbyrd, Spyderco Tenacious, Benchmade Vex, and Boker Trance.

I wasn't aware that the "spike" design was an actual useful knife besides as a letter opener?

Like stabbing someone between ribs? They are not very ergonomic and would be uncomfortable for using for any longer period of time. Boker's new Edit FB would make a nice all-rounder with a comfortable handle.

I have a helle harding- I am afraid to scratch it up, though... :D

Would a Mora be significantly better than the spike?

Also, Is 'Frosts Mora' The same brand?

you can get it cheaper from the site I linked

Sure.

Lots of Mora fans here on the forums, including me, but I like the Marttiini knives even more and you can get a Marttiini for about 20 bucks.
I've found them to be sturdier and tougher than Mora's, and I've been using both for years.
(Made in Finland, BTW.)

Edit - you can get that Mora you're looking at for a much better price.

As an all around quality knife? Definitely.
As something likely to get you arrested for carrying it? Probably not as good. ;)

Yes, they merged or something like that, a few years ago.
The Ragnar's Forge website already mentioned has a lot of info about these knives, and Scandinavian knives in general.

Keep in mind that the military Mora is high carbon steel and will rust on you much faster than a stainless Mora -- and the stainless Moras are very good stainless. They will take and hold a good edge. You can get one with the same shape handle as the military model, they're called "clippers". Check out that Ragweed Forge link!

Another possibility is the Cold Steel K4 necker. It's a short version of a successful kitchen knife style with a much better grip than the Spike.
