Which Spyderco are you carrying today?

Carrying this shaman spy 27 for the last few days. I chose it today because I had to open several bags of salt, and i didn't have to worry too much about corrosion. Just a quick rinse, and good to go! This is my first experience with spy27, and so far I like it. I've heard reviewers say that it's similar to s30v, but I've found it to be much finer grained and easy to strop. To me, in use, it "feels" more like elmax (my favorite stainless)

I swore I wouldn't buy a Shaman and then they had to come out with this one !
I think I had clicked the buy button before the page was finished loading .
. . .er you know what I mean .
So glad I have this blue one in SPY27 !

How do you like it so far? Do you have much experience with Spy27?

Friday’s carry posted early :)
I did an ungodly thing 😱 and flipped the clip on the Military 2 to tip up . Why you say ? Even though most folks including Spyderco say tip down is the way to go on the military because of the size and the position of your thumb is right there on deployment and I agree 100% . But here’s my dilemma and reasoning for going tip up. After multiple times trying to deploy the military tip down even though your thumb is right there by the spydie hole. About 50 percent of the time because of muscle memory I kept fumbling it and reaching for the spydie hole on the other end like on all my other spydies tip up. I’ve been doing that for many years and my muscle memory keeps glitching and reverting back to tip up . Now can I get use to tip down and retrain my muscle Memory? Absolutely but then what happens when I go back to 99% of my tip up knives then I’ll be jacked up again lol. I mean if when and if ever the shit hits the fan I’m probably not going to be grabbing something below my waste anyway😆 but something on my waste instead. Regardless Less thinking the better and muscle memory is the way to go also it’s way more comfortable the way the clip Hits my hand in both hands and how my fingers rest on the scales/clip. And just to be even more of a rebel I ordered a DP Lynch clip for it lol.
Well sorry for the long winded most post but my guilt felt it need be a necessity🤪

I think you did wisely .
Personally I can't stand clips at the pivot of a knife covering all that lovely textured G10 right where I want to grip the sides of the knife between thumb and index finger .
After all , for me at least , it isn't about lightening deployment in case I need to save the world from a Vogon attack , but more about being able to hold the knife in a comfortable and controlled way once I have the thing opened .

(spine of blade in corner of pocket of course )

True , Vogons most often mount an offensive from the sky .
Well sorry for the . . . post but my guilt felt it need be . . .
The guilt is just the sheeple whispering in your ear ; ignore the voices . . .
