Which Spyderco are you carrying today?

Me too! I just got the pair and already took the dragonfly apart, working on a wood scale, well the whole body,

I tried putting the ZDP delica blade into the Damascus Ti delica handle but somehow I get a lot of vertical blade play when locked... Otherwise it will be a perfect combo and the slight yellow color of the ZDP blade actually compliment the Ti handle...

Is there any way you could possibly take a photo of what the blade and lock bar look like from your ZDP-189 and Damascus Delicas?
I would love to be able to compare.

Here is my ZDP-189 Delica vs a VG-10. I was quite surprised to see the differences.
(Not to promote knife disassembly) When swapping handles it is always advisable to keep each blade with its lockbar as mates...

You are correct, the lock bar and the cut out on the blades are slightly different, when I tried transferring the ZDP lock bar to the Ti housing it is too tall for the Ti handle... The Ti doesn't have liners and is slightly smaller shape of the FRN

Great minds think alike :)
I'm going to try swapping my Damascus blade with a ZDP 189 blade .
I have another ZDP ordered just for that project . I think SpeedHoles is absolutely correct when he suggests changing the lock bar as well as the blade , I'm sure I read that somewhere on a forum .
I agree a Titanium handled ZDP would be and will be a great Delica and on the reverse side a British Racing Green Damascus bladed Delica will be cool as well . I'm surprised Spyderco hasn't done it already , it would require no retooling just a different assembly line .
I will keep my ZDP that I've already got standard though as I'm actually really surprised and happy with the feel and performance of the FRN handle .
I'll let you know how it goes when I swap mine and I'd be interested in any developments you have with your project .
